Aguero

Personnally I have resented the rags "club over country" attitude for years. With so many internationals now in our squad, we are getting an idea of how they have felt over the years, with most of their team under threat of injury during international breaks.

I agree and understand fans saying they hope players comes back injury free. However I want happy players coming back to the club with a feel good factor. Balo will be in tremendous spirits playing so well for Italy.

I realise Aguero has a tricky injury and may push himself to play if not fully fit but ideally I hope Aguero can play and find his fitness and form to come back in a similar mood rather than dejected and unfulfilled from being sent off.

I know our strikers are few but hopefully the squad size can cover international injuries? Fingers crossed!
The thing is, more players get injured training at Carrington than they ever do away on international duty!

Why?

The clubs pay the wages and transfer fees, wouldnt lose a second sleep if England never played again

Just my personnal opinion.

Historically its been a common rag attitude not to care about the national teams because "United" was their every thought. A typical slogan is: "United>England".

Personally I still like our national team to succeed and I also respect individual national patriotism within our squad. Aguero and Zab are obviously desperate to play for their country.

I would imagine more of our fans will adopt the "anti-national team" view as we get more international players. In the past the number of City players playing for national teams were relatively few.

Have you any stats on this?
I dont have any hard evidence either way but "there just seems to be more injuries" when players are subject to a "different" warm up/training regime, (not necessarilly being as familiar with players ongoing injuries), also with argueably more competitive matches and training sessions.

Is now fit according to his twitter and on his way to play against Columbia. Hope he doesn't play and stays ok for Newcastle...

"I'm fully recovered and on my way to Barranquilla. Eager to give the best on the pitch for the team."
That bothers me,didn't he say the same thing last time but ended up being sent home because he had not recovered from his injury.
