Yeah gave me a massive headache... it was just constant. I don't mind the odd parp, parp, parp-parp-parp parp, parp, parp (City!) but when it's just constantly blaring it gets on my wick.

I think we should write to the BBC and suggest to them that they lower the volume from the stadium in the broadcast sound mix for the confederation/world cup games because otherwise both competitions will be unwatchable.

I've got a real fear that the SA world cup will be a disaster, I just don't think they've got the infrastructure to cope with an event that big. Are any games happening in Johannesburg or are they (sensibly) avoiding the place...

you do know that in the late seventies/early eighties all european matches had the dreaded horns going throughout the entire game, thank god it never took hold in dear old blighty
 
Seriously hope they never catch on in this country, had some guy (easily in his mid twenties) sat next to me at the home game against Chelsea last season with one, very tempted to ram it down his throat. Ban them and lock up anyone caught outside the ground selling them Bah Humbug.

When Aberdeen played Bayern last year they gave droning blower things out to everyone in the ground. It sounded awful - the worst experience I've ever had at a football ground.
