unfortunately don't think A Johnson will be going to the WC. Should have been given a chance today on the left. England need a left footed attacking player - SWP, Lennon & Walcott just variations on the same theme - of which SWP is the worst.

By the way, any team having a big spurs contingent isn't destined for world cup glory..but cockney media will make sure they are well represented e.g. Huddlestone

Unfortunately the fact Johnson didn't feature at all doesn't look good for his chances, but who knows how Capello's mind works, but if this was SWP's chance to book his place,i'm affraid he carried on his club form, plenty of effort but looks bereft of confidence and belief!

BS!!! Capello will rue the day he left AJ out of the squad....We wont make 1/4s

I think Johnson will go. SWP or Walcott to stay. Also looks as if Joe Hart might be the starting keeper.

id drop walcott, no end product... doesnt track back... can't tackle and he had a shocker today.

I think about 90% of the England fans would agree with you,but i think Capello sees something we don't,or he's hoping the one off performance against Croatia can be repeated .

walcott is too cute. he has pace etc but if someone puts him in the stands in the first few mins, he'll crap the bed. swp has bottle. even lennon and johnson can handle the more physical full backs.

Walcott will go just because he has that performance against Croatia against him, i think AJ may be going he definately should be seeing as Lennon SWP and Walcott are all used for the same purpose, AJ offers something different

Going to stick my neck out say AJ will be going. Maybe FP has seen enough in training, where he has apparently looked excellant. Also, if he does go will the pricks who said they would be supporting Argentina, Spain, Brazil etc suddenly switch back to England? Whatever the decision I'll be right behind my country in SA.

Capello has said that his 23 was pretty much decided before the game.

This could mean that Johnson did enough in training to impress him, and he didn't need to play him?

If AJ doesn't make the squad, my interest level for the World Cup will halve. I honestly believe that this is his chance to impress on the world stage. He is SUCH an exciting player who brings things that no other winger does in the team. He's also relatively unknown, so it may help him.

Like Owen in '98 or Rooney in '04, AJ could be the breakout star from this World Cup, I honestly believe that he is good enough.

hope swp goes, more to his game than lennon ( to one dimensional ) swp has a lot more in his game, can understand other comments about club form, and yes, have too agree, but far better than lennon, walcott, not done himself any fasvours, but has pace and skill on ball and knows where net is, so yes go with him.
i'd like to think johnson has done enough in training to be our secret weapon (shssssh) in the competition, media reports say he has, lets hope.
personnally no to huddlestone, dawson, lennon, lampard, carrick and that useless no concentration tosspot smackhead ( delete as appropiate ) ferdinand, & heskey.
other than that i think we have good chance of semi's, possible further, just hope kidneys can survive !
COME ON ENGLAND.

Lennon is far better than both, I find it worrying that you'd want to leave our best winger at home.

Lennon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SWP >>>> Walcott

SWP is proven. If you pick two wingers then Lennon ans SWP would go.

Walcott and Johnson are not up to it yet.

Plus SWP is the only attacking right back option if there is an injury.
