Caught the highlights and Cherki goal gives a tantalising glimpse of future. Having a bit of a cracker jack moving CHs around will create space for Erl and others this year.

i have to start remembering that im 68 now not in my 20s, going out at 7 having a few drinks having a few hrs kip, getting up at 1-30 to watch game, going back to bed at 4 untill dog wants to go for a walk at 5-30, walking for a hr then feed him, decide to go back to bed but get up at 8 then go to town ado a bit of shopping, next game is 8 pm
So is it the getting up or the going to bed you enjoy?

Happy with all our incomings so far, but Cherki has the most wow factor and exciting to see what he can do this year. In terms of team balance though, Ait Nouri really good, finally having a top-quality natural left-back will make a big difference

However the CWC goes, I hope we manage to move 4-5 players on, find our rhythm again and see the right rotation between long-time first-team players, new signings and youngsters

How is Cherki only 21? He looks older than me! Have to admit that I'd never heard of him but loving what I've seen so far.

Hate to say it but he does remind me of a rag. His little flicks and arrogance around the box reminds me of Cantona.

If he kung fues Terry Christian at OT after being sent off for twatting Bruno I will rest my case.

Well, you and I both know that if Cantona had come to City he'd have been feted to the skies. We'd have loved him. Furthermore, City's the club he'd choose today. If Cherki's got something of Cantona about him, that's not necessarily any bad thing.

It's nice to see players taking a shot instead of trying to walk it in. Cherki and Reijnders have both got a shot on them and add Marmoush to that and I'm expecting a few class goals next season. Hopefully Phil starts having a pop from distance again as well

I’ve always thought Ait Nouri was great going forward, it’s the defending that’s looked suspect at times. Hopefully he’ll prove himself against better opposition later in the tournament
