Al Ain are in the UAE league, not Saudi. They're nowhere near as good as Al Hilal.

It was really fucking hot yesterday, and with that many changes I don't think we need to look too much into the performance.

The Juve game will be a better measure of where we are.

As for where we finish in the group. Win it and Real will come 2nd in theirs. Come 2nd and Real will win their group. We'll be playing them in the next round, we can't seem to avoid them!
Real play their last group match 1 day after we did.
They can 'calculate' to meet us or not...

I watched the RM v Al Hilal game last night, 2 very good teams. I would say both playing levels above the way we played yesterday. We will have to improve significantly to match them!

Inzaghi is managing Al Hilal, they were very confident and skilful, unlucky not to get a win against Real Madrid, they created many good opportunities to score. Their striker was out, you would imagine they will be more clinical with him playing?

Whoever is runner-up in that group will likely be a hard match?
Before a ball was kicked I thought we must win the group to avoid Real Madrid. Now I am not sure. I think the most likely runner up in Group H is Red Bull Salzburg. I agree that Al Hilal played well, particularly in the 1st half.

I think City face a difficult path out of Group G. More difficult than I thought. I think Pep though picked a side for the group and not necessarily the best side vs Wydad.

I looked at the KO schedule for the last 16 and the KOs are largely later in the day. That will be better wrt the heat.

If you stay up until 2am in the morning to watch the match, you are diehard blues.

Perhaps this is incorrect, but I would opt for the best XI for this game.

Let them build confidence and chemistry with each other and get their heads right, and get a convincing win.

Kids can clean up after 60 minutes if we are up a good deal.

Ederson

Nico G.
Bernardo Foden
Bobb Haaland Marmoush

We'll obviously see a lot of changes. Hope Khusanov, Nico G. and Ait Nouri get a start!
3:0 City.

This is what I think we will see.

I don't think we will see the bulk part of the main XI starting until the round of 16/quarters.

Dias and Bernardo won't play a game in the group stage I reckon with them having had nations league.

Juventus play before us so we will know what we need for goal difference to be above them and only need a draw in the final game to win the group.

For everyone attending the City game at Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta, here's a little information that might help

* A 9pm kick off, does not mean a 9pm kick off. It means an approximate time when they start to introduce each player one by one, by a Michael Buffer wannabe

* FOC's will not like pre-match & half time, they BLAST the music at an ear drum busting level, with typical American tackiness

* Here are all the food and drink vendors and prices; https://www.mercedesbenzstadium.com/all-vendors

* Soda drinkers; buy a soda for $2 (no need to get the large cup) and refill it for free at any soda fountain throughout the stadium

* There are multiple bars on level 1 & 2 that once you have your drink, take 10 steps and stand overlooking the pitch. No 15 minute queues !

* For Miami v Porto, roof was closed, A/C was on and my nipples were hard .... brrrrrrrrrrr

* Apparently they are having ticket scanner issues, almost everyone was let in by just SHOWING their ticket on the phone :O

* There is NO checking of ticket against what section/seat you're trying to access. Feel free to move around. Only problem is if you sit in a seat allocated to someone else.

* Saw 1 or 2 ‘big’ 8x10 flags in Porto supporter area
