That’s a great first XI and should be what we start most games with if they’re fit.

No more bloody Gundogan, Bernardo, Savinho.

Regardless of what people think of the tournament, it's very, very disappointing to go out like this.

Let's be honest. We had quite an easy route to the semi-final, where we would have probably played Chelsea, which would have been a great PL game.

If you can take one positive from the defeat and being knocked out, at least the players will get two weeks rest and relaxation before they are back for pre-season training towards the end of July.

It's funny how football changes people's opinions.

One week we look like world beaters then next week we are crap and are no where near challenging for the title or anything

People have the right to be annoyed with the result but goodness me

We are never as good as the forums suggest after a win or as bad when we lose. It's just all kneejerk reactions.

Lost it with the team selection. We upgraded with Cherki and left hom on the bench and Foden deserved to start over Savinho. Both Doku and Savio are too similar for mine, Doku deserved a start and played well but Foden in for Savio and Cherki for Gundo seemed obvious given rotations.

Really hope its not Gundo and Bernardo starting every game again.

Dias too slow too. Reijnders looked good but nobody good enough to pick his runs.

At least they get a decent break i guess.

One benefit of this CWC is Rodri hopefully is well ahead of schedule now compared to if he was just back into normal pre season in mid July. He can have a month off now, back into pre season in August and even though i feel he's going to be months away from being back to his best, he'll be in a much better position for these games.

Back to earth with a bump there. Mystifying gundo is starting big games, and the high line which has killed us for nearly 2 seasons looks like it is staying. Going to be a lot of goals in our games next year

New personal but exactly the same issues as last season.
Opponents only need to get a shot on target to score against us, 6 on target and 4 goals. Juventus had 2 on target and scored with both.
And we huff and puff and have twice as many attempts but poor in front of goal

Both first and last for me, he seems to have developed a habit of pushing shots into dangerous areas. He looked fairly flat footed for the third as well.

His last 8 shots on target faced have resulted in 6 goals. Has the occasional blinder but has a poor rate of conceding shots on goal. Defence though is awful in front of him

For me it was simple expectation for this tournament - involve all the new players and players like Oscar Bobb and see how we are heading as the team.
Bernardo and Gundogan or Akanji or Ake can plug and play and guide the younger peeps when they can - it’s a friendly right as per most of the folks here - let’s use it for our team evolution.

A slow Akanji Dias Bernardo or Gündogan can hardly keep up with PSG as seen before so there is no loss playing the young peeps even if we reach the semifinal. Chelsea do it so do PSG
A Midfield of Nico/Rodri/Cherki/Rejindeers/bernardo and a defence or Nouri/khushonav/ries/Gvardiol/Nunes woild have been good to see how the future can look.
But pep had different plans

Every PL manager pretty much just had their tactics set up for them for next season. We will play 90% of our games next season with the opposition putting 11 men on the edge of their own box knowing at some point a quick counter and they will be in.
