When the competition is done, I think the clubs are going to say, the heat is a problem. And the storms are a problem. If they have more football tournaments e.g. the World Cup 2026 then I hope they select stadia with retractable roofs like the Mercedes Benz stadium in Georgia.

I agree with the comments about the kick-offs and storms. Thunderstorms do not tend to develop in the late evening. You would think the sporting authorities would know their country really well but they appear to have gambled.

I like the idea of a Club World Cup very much but there have been some problems.

A test event for the World Cup next summer. They'll learn from the issues with this tournament and should address them the next time, with more appropriate kick off times in certain locations to avoid heat/storms etc.

Tried to watch previous match on a number of devices: laptop, smart TV and mobile but DAZN didn't like the browsers I was using and said I would have to update my browser to a different version, I don't like to do this, when I wouldn't otherwise.

Eventually got my son to cast it to my smart TV from his work phone! I have found watching DAZN to be a right pain!
I use this to catch up: fullreplays.com

I can't record it i don't think, just use streaming apps on playstation.
1) install a screen capture app...

Debut screen capture is intuitive and the free trial should last longer than the tournament. No annoying watermarks or anything like that. You can learn all you need to know in a few minutes. Here you go: https://www.nchsoftware.com/capture...UYxGWt_zWmct9MSuMtHKNjCwwB5YLOZJ2e1qPo7Sx8ndb

2) disable any power saving for the night
3) make sure you have enough storage for a few hours
4) depending upon the preferences in your capture program, check that audio record is enabled and make stream browser window full screen. Move your cursor out of the way and disable any screen savers.
5) start your stream as early as you can and go to bed :-)

Not ideal, but a workaround. Good luck with it

No sign of storm warnings on any of the weather reports.
Think I'll risk it and record it to watch tomorrow morning.

Orlando can get fucked. Why have they chosen a stadium in a notoriously unpredictable climate? You can't tell me the US dont have multiple other stadiums available that wouldn't be subjected to continuous weather delays.

It will be a struggle but i can stay up to watch this if it runs to plan but if we get a weather delay and let's say it's an hour plus the additional time to warm back up etc, the game being over before 4am then extends into, it's now Tuesday morning, the suns out and it is time to get up.

Might be one to find a re-run of, stick my phone on do not disturb to try and avoid all reports and catch tomorrow instead. Doubt I'll be able to avoid the result though. Once again, fuck Orlando.
It’s actually not unpredictable. It’s June in Florida and it’s hot, but it also rains a lot down there at this time of the year. I have been in Orlando in June and I have never seen rain like it. It comes down hard and fast and can turn highways into rivers in minutes.

Got the kids Sports Day tomorrow at school so going to have to try and avoid the score until about midday before rewatching it.

Just FYI for those asking (@pee dubya) if you search 'full football matches' on Google then loads of websites come up and the most recent ones tend to be on the front page. There's also a subreddit on Reddit called 'football highlights' which has them requested/listed.

It’s the need to show-horn multiple games in every day for World Cups that is the issue it seems to me.
East coast is 5 hours for UK and 6 for CET?
A kick off time of 7pm, midnight here is maybe just about ok?
To get prime euro viewing we’ll get local time kos of say 4pm and 7pm. That would be ok, so 9pm and midnight KO times here, but anything outside of that is gonna create issues either there or here imho, esp if they try and force more than 2 KO times in each day …

Personally I wouldn’t mind 9pm local KO and 2am here but I’m sure the tv stations would be up in arms.

I’m in two minds tonight, first is that if we lose, most of the new players will have got used to the system, and those recovering from injury have had enough game time. On the other hand another round or two brings in more income.

I don't know about other smart TVs or what make TV you have, but the DAZN app available on the Samsung hub works much better than any browser. skyQ app is better still.
When the 'upgrade account' graphic pops up, just press your backup/exit button to remove it (thanks to whoever posted this previously).

They looked dangerous when I saw them against Madrid. Inzaghi being there will add some stability and a counter-attacking gameplan too which is always dangerous.

Will be a good game but a tough one. Arguably a bigger test - and will give us a better idea of where we're at - than the Juve game.

I think that have quite a few oldies in the squad koulibali (sp) is 34. I have a feeling they might be use to the heat but not the pace of our game.
I would imagine the are use to a slow game if we can claim possession and get them chasing the game it could be too much for them.

Here’s hoping.

Can see this being a turgid game not due to us but how they’ll set up,I wouldn’t be surprised if it was 1-0 to us inzaghi sets up to defend deep and hope to counter..

it’s also a totally wank stadium in a totally shit location. the games in Philly and Atlanta are “city centre” and even if you aren’t staying near them there are ways to leave other than by car. Orlando is a total shite stadium and is miles from anywhere. after the last game we hung around an hour or two for a beer in a pub but they have a rule that no pub outside downtown can open after midnight so after tonight there will be nowhere to stop for a drink and everyone trying to get an uber in choca traffic at midnight. friggin nightmare. we moved hotels to one near the ground - cheap as chips (prob cos the area is a shithole)
