When the competition is done, I think the clubs are going to say, the heat is a problem. And the storms are a problem. If they have more football tournaments e.g. the World Cup 2026 then I hope they select stadia with retractable roofs like the Mercedes Benz stadium in Georgia.
I agree with the comments about the kick-offs and storms. Thunderstorms do not tend to develop in the late evening. You would think the sporting authorities would know their country really well but they appear to have gambled.
I like the idea of a Club World Cup very much but there have been some problems.
A test event for the World Cup next summer. They'll learn from the issues with this tournament and should address them the next time, with more appropriate kick off times in certain locations to avoid heat/storms etc.
