Alan Davies upsets Liverpool fans

Update: That's not what he said. He clearly refers to Liverpool playing there. They've never played the rags on Feb 6th but they did play on the 11th Feb this season so I'm happy to accept that's what he meant and rescind the warning.
Glad to hear it. But you're still reading it completely wrong.

Do you both understand? If you don't then take your custom elsewhere.
And you might want to tone down that confrontational attitude you've got, especially when you've made a complete balls up of something. You're an internet moderator, not a headmaster.
I said I got it wrong and have apologised to the lad via pm. I apologise to you as well. For your information we lost a good friend of the family in the Munich crash. Hence why I'm sensitive about the use of the word.

To be fair to alan davies, even though he is a bit of a ****, you have to be very specially gifted NOT to upset the liverpool fans.
They are always whining about something. Perhaps they are just upset they have been cheated out of the league again. This WAS their year after all!

I mean the rags had a disaster a while back. You dont hear them harping on About it every 5 minutes!!

No but they've already told the FA that they refuse to play on October 23rd next season.

I have just been watching the local BBC news and they started off by saying 'later we will be looking at the part Liverpool played in the Titanic disaster' ...... I immediatley laughed and thought to myself that they will jump on any bandwagon to get noticed and presumably they will now refuse to play games on the 15th April.

You shouldn't have to explain yourself about being sensitive about the use of that word. In any event it is expressly prohibited for in the COC and as a Mod it is your job to enforce its perceived misuse.

I think the original post was ambiguous and given the capacity of that word to offend perhaps people should be more explicit as to the context that it is being used when using it in future. If he'd referred to it as 'The Munich Derby' that would have been much clearer than 'a Munich game'.

Back to the matter in hand I am astonished that if Liverpool are playing on the anniversary of Heysel this season (or have at any time previously) that more isn't being made of this. Anyone would think that the press were scared stiff of offending them.

The reason they don't play is that they hold a memorial service on that day that many players and staff attend. Obviously they couldn't do that if they're playing.

Bollocks.... They managed a Munich game at the Swamp.... I feel the bin-dippers loss but don't agree we should pussy foot around to suit them
Bollocks. They've never played on the 15th since Hillsborough. And you can have a warning for using the M word.
You can't warn him for saying bloody Munich! He didn't call them Munichs. He said a Munich game (which is what the derby was, a Munich Memorial match with huge Munich picture and changed kits!) Everyone knew what he meant. That's a little harsh there. He didn't use Munich in the pejorative.

-- Tue Apr 10, 2012 2:41 pm --

Edit: just seen it was rescinded. Ignore me, I am always late on things.

Oops! That's what they're already doing, unless I've read your post wrong. If that is the case, my humble apologies.

It's prohibited in the wrong context.

Liverpool haven't played on the Heysel anniversary, but that's a bit difficult as May 29th doesn't fall within the season.

7 pages of discussion on these horrible scouse bastards. I have heartfelt sympathy for the 96 who died and their familes and friends. The rest of the cunts can fuck off.

Absolute vermin of the highest order. Only slightly second to the rag shite

In that case, i move we lobby the F.A. that we should be permitted not to play on 29th December.
The day Frank Clarke penned his contract with us. A truly dark dark day.
