Chelsea were happy to play on that day but wanted an early kick-off, The TV company couldn't accomodate it so it had to be put back to 6pm. Blame the TV company for that, not Liverpool. The FA should have said show it early or not at all.SWP's back said:Well they have hurt Chelsea's chances in the CL as they can't have an additional days rest. It stinks. If they wish to not play on that date, then fine. But they should concede the tie or 3 points. Let's see how resolute they are then.Prestwich_Blue said:But what about all the people who lost friends and family who want to attend? If that's what Liverpool want to do then there's no reason why they shouldn't in my view. Doesn't hurt anyone (apart from that bitter gooner Davies).JoeMercer'sWay said:they don't need to do it at Anfield, they could quite easily find somewhere in north london to go for a short service in the morning before the game.
There's 24 hours in a day.
In fact it's refreshing to see a club that puts its fans first, ahead of a mere football match.
