Agree on Cesc mate he will be off, you will get top dollar for him though, you just hope that the powers that be reinvest it back in to your squad instead of the debt on the new stadium.

He wrote an article for this morning's Irish Examiner that was breathtaking in it's gall. I don't have it to hand (left it at work - busy day ;-) ). It began with a notice that both City and United had been linked, over the weekend, with Arjen Robben and continued with the remark that "whilst nothing can be done to stop the obscene spending at Eastlands" it can only be hoped that Sir Alex doesn't feel the need to buy in the biggest cheater this side of Ronaldo.
The basic inference was that that sort of behaviour is good enough for the nouveau riche, know the price of everything and the value of nowt, johnny come lately's at City but United (United, mind you!!!) having now seen the error of their ways in making allowances for the genius (nay, Christ-like abilities) of Ronaldo, should never again stoop so low as to employ a diving cheat who would sully their marvellous, marvellous name.
It was stomach churning drivel to say the least of it. I know there's a lot of rag fans on this side of the Irish Sea but there's playing to your readerships biases and then there's arse-licking to your audience!
To be fair the Irish Examiner is one of the more fair-minded papers (Roy Keane can do now wrong in their eyes - but hey, it's printed in Cork and you can't blame them for sticking up for one of their own... (alright you can!)) and it does give excellent coverage of premiership football. It's just a shame that they let loose a twat like Greene. On average, quality Irish papers cost twice as much as the british-owned red-top tabloids. If I wanted to read drivel, bigotry and base ignorance I could have bought the Sun and saved myself a euro.
