Part 3 of his series before the Man In Black died - brilliantly produced by Rick Rubin this is a powerful and emotive collection of mainly cover songs, U2 cover 'One' is superb which has the feel of 'Hurt' from his latter recordings, Tom Petty number 'I Wont Back Down' is another good cover and also 'Solitary Man' which saw Cash receive a third Grammy from this series.
Cash's health was beginning to fail during these recordings and at times you can hear the fragility in his voice but this adds to the collection as a whole. A true legend.
