AA is a brilliant con trick and I mean Brilliant
You cannot be a mamber of AA if you are still drinking. If you are still drinking, you are not ready. You are not yet at rock bottom. When you are, you can join. Then, and only then, can you stand up and say 'I'm an alcoholic!'
Until then, you are not enough of an alcoholic to be in the club. Come back when you're worse.
edit: I'm Chris and I'm prone to drinking more than I should.
I wonder when I'll know enough is enough.

and I've just had botox treatment for my chronic headaches and migraines - and it's worked! - so once again I can hit the booze and back to chocolate and cheese - so tonight's menu was :
gin and tonic (bomaby sapphire - double of course)
cheese fondu - containing full bottle of sauvignon blanc and lots of vodka
butterscotch schnapps - 2 glasses (apparently you should have schnapps with cheese fondu to digest the cheese ? - I'm convinced)
3 glasses of prosecco
chocolate fondu - double cream, lindt chocolate, mars bars and amaretto
more wine
and it's a school night and I need to go to work tomorrow - hah! I'm thinking of secreting the vodka bottle in my desk to really check the botox has worked.

I don't get, how I can be way over the "recommended limits" which I am... but I've not been pissed since I was bout 20..? and I'm 43 now.. summat's not right.
