I'd rather have this kid in the squad than Fernando , can do everything he can do and more
I remain a little amazed at the stick Fernando gets as he really isn't that bad. Granted he is isn't great either but when he plays he always seems to get into good defensive positions when we are under pressure and makes vital interceptions as he reads the game quite well.
As a playmaker I accept he is pretty poor but that's not the job he is asked to do. Comparing him with Garcia is a bit like chalk and cheese.
Garcia is more of a quarterback player with a good range of passing. He also reads the game pretty well from his deep position and if it's a midfield general you want Garcia wins easily.
As an attacking player likely to score and I don't think there is much in it. Garcia might score from outside the box ( I think I have seen him score 2 and the latest agaisnt reading was an absolute gem) but Fernando is more lilely to get one from inside the box and probably from a set piece.
As a defender Fernando wins hands down for me.He wins tackles in crucial areas and as I said makes excellent interceptions. Defending I would say is the weakest part ofGarcia's game. But it is getting better.
Overall Garcia has a better future with us and I would like to see him given a go as I am confident he wouldnt let us down.
I was sat behind the goal yesterday and I got a great view of Garcia's movement. It was so impressive - he's getting better and better defensively. He reads the game very very well. He was frequently in the right place intercepting. It's hugely encouraging. I actually think he'll become very adept at that, in the way Xabi Alonso has learned to be.

Do you think he is capable of contributing to the first team this season, particularly just now with so many injuries?I was sat behind the goal yesterday and I got a great view of Garcia's movement. The injuries we have aren't in his position though.Do you think he is capable of contributing to the first team this season, particularly just now with so many injuries?
