Aleksandar Kolarov

I always find it funny that whenever good old Aleks lines up for a long shot, no matter who the commentator is, we'll hear "Here's Kolarov.....AND HE CAN HIT THEM!!"

Almost as if we should get excited about it, except we all know that the ball isn't going anywhere near the net.

Monaco's VP knows we are desperate, because with Kolarov gone we literally don't have anyone with experience to play there. He will wait us out until we cave and pay what he wants. Monaco has all the leverage, this is obvious or else this deal would be done. We all know Kolarov would never start, but at least we have an experienced body to throw there.

Kolarov wasn't going to play there anyway. The Monaco VP isn't an idiot, he knows Kolarov is not going to be our Left Back, him leaving makes absolutely no difference.

Not to mention Danilo is about to be signed, who is actually a viable LB option.

Care to explain what happened on the 21 occasions that it did? Did the ball defy the laws of physics?

I didn't say he'd never done it, but in recent times its become a rarity. The man had 31 shots from outside the box last season, and the only one to go in was a free kick against Leicester. Don't get me wrong though, I do like Kolarov as a player, and wouldn't at all be averse to him sticking around as a backup next season.

Kolarov has been a great player for us imo. Maybe he wasn't the best but when asked to last season he stepped up into CB and didn't do "that" bad. Not always a fan favourite but credit where its due, loyal player to us. (if he is sold) :D

Putting my usual feelings to one side, lol, I'll be glad to see him gone but will thank him for his efforts over the years.

It's like every time Siberski was playing the commentator would say 'he's good in the air' - I think he scored one header whilst with us

Can we buy before we sell, please? We're selling for peanuts anyway.

Leaving ourselves with 2 reliably fit CBs clearly isn't going to help when we sit across the table to negotiate for whichever CB we're after

Pep confirms Kolarov is gone.

off to rome.

"Serbian international Kolarov is on the verge of joining Roma - with Guardiola revealing the 31-year-old made a personal plea to move."

MEN.

Kolarov really is the man. He has survived 7 years despite being absolute shite and his time at the club ends with HIM asking to leave US.

I know you love him. Thought he did well yesterday. As a defender.
Thats what he does best, out and out defending.

Its when he thinks too much that the problems arise.Hence why playing alongside a more intelligent partner, brings the very best out of him.

As a squad option, covering two positions,we could do a lot worse. His attitude will certainly never be in question.
