Would he be defined as a target man or a deep-lying centre forward? Had a huge debate about this yesterday at the cricket, I'm adamant he was a number 10 who could also play on the left wing.

suker was more the target man of the two

boksic was a strange one though, definately more of a 'number 10' then a 'number 9' though

Wikipedia just has him down simply as a 'forward' , or a striker ........ but with 114 goals in 339 games to his credit , he must have been 'forward' quite a lot ...... so i'd put him down as a target man out of your two descriptions , rather than somebody who's 'deep lying'.

For a big guy he had excellent control, touch, technique and scored some great goals with some fine finishing! He was just a forward player - think he was good enough to play in a few positions!
