Quality player in his day, but shocks me the following teams are linked with him: -

There was no happy ending for Alessandro del Piero as the 37-year-old forward bought the curtain down on an illustrious career at Juventus as they lost the Coppa Italia final.
They went down 2-0 to Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Del Piero was making his final appearance for the club - almost 19 years after his September 1993 debut.

Del Piero's trophy cabinet
6 Serie A titles (not including the two which were withdrawn in 2005 and 2006)
1 Coppa Italia
4 Supercoppa Italiana
1 Uefa Champions League
1 Uefa Super Cup
1 Intercontinental Cup
1 Uefa Intertoto Cup
1 Serie B title
2 Uefa Under-21 European Championships
1 World Cup

He went on to make 705 appearances for the club, winning 19 trophies including the World Cup with Italy in 2006.
Del Piero was withdrawn after 68 minutes of the final, to a standing ovation, as fans paid their tributes.
He scored the first of his 289 goals for the club in his second appearance before bagging a hat-trick on his first start back in 1993.
The Italian was also a regular for his country since 1995, making 91 appearances, scoring 27 goals.
Speculation has been mounting over the future of the Conegliano-born striker, since Juventus announced they would not be offering him a new contract.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers have all been linked with a summer move for the veteran while MLS side LA Galaxy are the latest team reportedly tracking him.

The US league would be a good place for him to play out the twilight years of his career, there are lots of Italians in new york so possibly somewhere like that would be a good destination.

I don't think any of the top teams in the premier league would take him given his age and i doubt he would want to finish his career at a bottom half of the table club.

Hmm, if Tevez goes then as 4th striker on a freebie I'd be interested. I know I'll be in a minority on this one but he's a top pro, just depends if he wants regular starts. He'd also be an excellent mentor for Balotelli.

I reckon Italy should offer him a coaching role at the Euros at least, who better for the likes of Mario to learn from than a true legend like Del Piero.

He would be cool having him.

We could easily get him, he's been pretty much best mates with the Gallaghers for years... he had Noel out there in the World Cup Final as the team see him as the Italy team see him as some sort of lucky charm lol.

A wise choice that could benefit, but I think he might end up with Marcelo Lippi at Guangzhou Evergrande.

I remember when we played Milan in a friendly a few seasons back at Eastlands and Maldini was playing. I honestly didn't care who else was on the field that day. I spent the entire match watching every move of a living legend and even though he was getting on for 40 years old he was still easily the best player on the pitch.

Some players are legends for a reason and you just dream that one day you can say "i saw him in the flesh" Maldini was one of those players... So is Alessandro Del Piero. I'd be delighted if he was play his last days in the premier league.

Why wouldn't English clubs be interested? If I were Wenger or 'Arry, I'd sign him for a year even just for what he'd bring to training sessions. Imagine what a youngster could learn from him, and then obviously there's the big game experience and outstanding quality, still.

id be all over it if i was mancini the experience he would bring and he wouldnt expect to start many games
