I would like to have seen a replacement brought in as well, but it evidently work out.

I see people are moaning because we haven't replaced a guy who would have been lucky to get 10 appearances? We have more than enough players that can play wide attack and have a better squad than any of us could ever have dreamed of and goals coming out of our arses.

It isn't moaning, it's a question. Mancini did state he wanted a winger in. The club then got rid of two wingers. I just don't understand what happened. It is not moaning so get off your high horse.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has vowed not to give up in his efforts to sign Fiorentina midfielder Alessio Cerci after admitting he failed to land him in the summer.
Mancini has repeatedly praised the 24-year-old but has failed to spend any of his club's billions on actually bringing him to England.
The winger came to Mancini's attention when he was a Roma player on loan at Pisa and has been tracking his progress ever since.
Mancini said: "I have followed him since his days at Pisa in the 2007/08 season. He was just 20 but immediately did things that were extraordinary.
"He is one of the few players who are able to win a game on their own. If I could have I would have brought him to the Premier League a year ago.
"We have tried again this summer because I thought he might make an important contribution and mix well with the players here at City.
"But we could not complete the transaction and in all honesty I must say that I understand Fiorentina."

Cerci is really an enigma at times. If there is a player I could compare him to it would be Gareth Bale. He is an immense talent when in form. But is sometimes blind on the counter and tries to do to much. And sometimes he disappears for matches.
He is worth £5-7 mil. But the biggest question is if he is worth playing time over any of our players. I think time will show us that there will be a need for another player to fill the winger role in our busy schedules.
I wasn't sold on him early on. But a mate of mine sent me a few of Cercis best matches as he is a huge Fio fan. If Cerci was a Manc like us then he would be worth £20-25 mil.
