I sadly lost my father Alex channon earlier today
He was 76 and grateful we got to that age with him considering the heart attack and following surgery he suffered at 64
He was involved with club in numerous ways , chairing the swinton branch in its early days , involved with the csa and sending a minibus out to sierra Leone blues View attachment 178934Christmas day

Really sorry to hear this news. My thoughts are with you and the rest of Alex’s family and friends. Alex was one of those Blues who was known by lots of fans due to his work with the Supporters Club and the CSA (the days when we needed people like Alex to stand up and challenge the way fans were treated and how the club spoke with fans). He worked hard for supporters. RIP Alex.
