At 7 million, it seems too good a bargain not to take. He is a fabulous player when healthy.Covid apart, his injury record hasn’t been bad over the last two years tbf. Certainly compared to most of our current defenders
Whether Pep sees him as good enough or able to adapt to the demands of the PL is another matter but it’s not like we haven’t shopped at Benfica before

Hmmmm! It you discount injuries, I don't think he is below average at all. I think he'd be close to the top in terms of a City fit in my opinion. Great technique, great buildup player. Great cross, a good shot on h and he is quite tenacious defensively.Still a below average leftback. Form and quality dropped off the past two seasons. I’d prefer Sosa ahead of him. But I would take him for 7m if none of the other targets works out
The quality of opposition will be higher, sure. But I sense he can make that jump.

Still leaves us in a better position than last season for fullbacks, and we can get another LB or RB depending where Cancelo‘s more likely to start.At 7 million, it seems too good a bargain not to take. He is a fabulous player when healthy.
