Alex McLeish and Joe Hart

I'd loan him out for one more year, then bring him back with a view to being the #1

I think we all agree, loan him out for another season and then give him a crack the season after, do not sell! Lets hope Mancini or whoever's in charge see's it the same way as us.

I've been quite unimpressed with Hart's attitude toward us this season, he tends to refer to us as 'them' rather than City, and saying shit like how he would've loved to beat us had they met us in the Cup final etc, I'd give him an attitude ajustment and loan him to Shrewsbury next year, it'd shut Brummy up too

I'm happy to let Joe stay at Brum for another season, then we'll recall him and let him battle for that number 1 shirt.

Definately.. I think we can get another season out of Given!

Loan him out again.

It's either that or he'll walk out.

Good lick to Brum for making best use of the rules.
I've no problem with us loaning him out again, but i hate the way McLeish is twisting our arm every week in the media, he needs to STFU and do things in private

Is anyone else getting sick to death of listening to McLeish every other day going on about how much he wants Joe Hart to stay, how he doesn't want to lose him, how he needs to speak to city, how he hopes they will be generous, i'd Joe back at the end of the season just to shut the stupid fucker up

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish fears that his hopes of keeping Joe Hart for a second campaign will be scuppered if Manchester City qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Hart has pushed himself into England contention ahead of the World Cup after an excellent season-long loan at St Andrews and McLeish is eager to extend the arrangement into 2010/11.

The Birmingham boss is planning talks with Hart and his representatives within the month, but the Scot acknowledges that City manager Roberto Mancini may not agree to any deal if his side secure the Premier League's sought-after fourth place.

McLeish said: "We do intend to speak to Joe, his father and his agent in the coming weeks.

"I believe the club have made contact with Manchester City to try to get a meeting to see where they see Joe's future next season.
Last-minute job

"It is a massive position for us and that is why I would like to get City's nod of approval for Joe to come again next season so we know what we are doing.

"I do need to make my plans for next season. If it looks like it's going to be a last-minute job and the answer will be a positive, then we'll do that, but it would be nice to know what City's thoughts are.

"I guess Roberto Mancini and his staff have got to have a good think about it as well. Who knows, if they are in the Champions League next season then they might feel they need two top-class keepers."

McLeish insists he will make no decision on any of Birmingham's out-of-contract players, including veteran striker Kevin Phillips, until the end of the season.

He said: "I'm not going to discuss anyone's future until the end of the season. It is important the players focus and give me everything they have got every day in training and save their talking for Saturday afternoons.

"Kevin Phillips is a hugely influential player who has scored some vital goals for us, but nothing will be discussed on contracts and futures until May, and the players will be the first to know."

Irony? Just a bit, :).

I don't think that he has said anything 'out of turn.' I get the feeling he knows that City are very likely to recall Hart if we are in the Champions League and is trying his best to push us for a decision before then, as that gives him more chance.

Personally, I want Joe Hart back at City and really get some serious competition going between him and Given. Taylor is simply not 'up to it' imo. At the very least, Hart can play in the Carling Cup and possibly the F.A. Cup.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the promoted clubs all enquiring about Hart as well; this may be partly why McLeish is so desperate to get something tied up with City.

Joe should be loaned to another Prem club IMO (if loaned out at all) I always thought the idea of loaning a player was to give him experience and regular first team football.
Joe will not get in our first team for at least 1 more season and I believe his experience would be enhanced by seeing another envoronment, to see how the club coaches, the different tatics used, another Manager perspective.
Of course with the clear message IF YOU ENQUIRE ABOUT BUYING OUR KEEPER WE WILL RECALL HIM.
