He's just doing the best for his club. He knows that Hart is a terrific keeper and he's trying everything to secure him.

Trying to persuade Joe to stay at Birmingham, what a joke if he thinks England's best goalkeeping prospect is going to end up at a lower Premier League club.

It still baffels me how you can have 2 keepers that are either relegated or in a relegation fight as England keepers. They cannot possible have enough confidence going into the WC.

Don't know why he can't accept that our decision will probably depend on whether we get into the Champions League, so will not be made for a few more weeks.

He'll still have all summer to get himself a new keeper, so I don't know what he's whinging about.

i agree with the op

before the game on sunday i thought it could just be mind games, but he's started up again and he should keep quiet

i think he needs to be here next season

While I doubt Hart will play there next year, I think its wrong to look down on Birmingham like this. They have every chance of finishing higher than we did last season and won't be short of money in the summer(by all accounts).

Well for me he's better on loan there next season, although as someone else said it might well depend on whether we get to the Champions League. If we do we'd probably need to register both him and Given to be on the safe side. Sadly that means that Joe will be on the bench most of the time, which he won't like, so it's a difficult situation.

McLeish should stop carping on about it though if he knows that there will be no decision until later on...

it does feel like ive gone back in time every other week I read the sky sports headline with him saying: we'd like city to let us know one way or the other... I understand its their call and will need to sort their plans out ect ect. its at least 3 times ive seen it.

How about a little patience. You have a decent keeper in taylor (granted no where near hart) so it wouldnt hurt to wait until we see where we finish, Cos this will determine whether we let the brum have him another season or not.

If you cant wait... look elsewhere. Im sure we wont be short on takers

He's been a proper media whore over this, and it's fcuking me off now. We should re-call him and send him to newcastle for a season :) just to piss the ginger minger off!

just be lucky you,ve had him mr mcleish.

Agreed, but Taylor is far from decent though, you don't get to become Villa's 4th choice keeper that way!

Deliberately using the media to try and unsettle another club's player, even if it's only with a view to another loan deal. That is tapping up in my book.
His conduct has been fairly deplorable. City should show their displeasure by issuing a statement that even if Joe does go on loan again next season (and I don't think he should, certainly not on a full-season basis) he will not be returning to St Andrews because of McLeish's behaviour
