That's like you say 2 years ago when he was young enthusiastic and playing at a top club was all new and exciting! Move it on 2 years and he's going downhill plus injury prone.
He definitely hasn't progressed and injuries haven't helped, but he's still only 22 and I reckon Pep will back himself to reignite the kids career. It would be a risky transfer with his injury record though. Especially if it was to replace Navas, who, while being limited as a player is mr reliable when it comes to fitness.
