That's like you say 2 years ago when he was young enthusiastic and playing at a top club was all new and exciting! Move it on 2 years and he's going downhill plus injury prone.

He definitely hasn't progressed and injuries haven't helped, but he's still only 22 and I reckon Pep will back himself to reignite the kids career. It would be a risky transfer with his injury record though. Especially if it was to replace Navas, who, while being limited as a player is mr reliable when it comes to fitness.

From what i have sen he actually has a better shot on him than sterling, which makes it so unusual that he scores so few. Like others have said, in pep we trust.

Why do people think we are playing wing backs? Like we would pay 49 mil for raheem to play him there, likewise ox. Jesus.
Well people are looking at what are linked with and what Pep can/does play with to some extent. Let them think so by looking at their own perspective. You seems to have personl info from Pep himself?

Don't know why people are comparing him to Barkley pretty different types of player IMHO Barkley is an attacking central midfielder whose defensive work is not very impressive, with wonderful ball skills but questionable vision and we really need a playmaker centrally.
The Ox works his socks off going forward and back has pace and decent if not outstanding ball skills.
Personally I think Barkley is a very fine player but one you probably have to build a side around and at that level he represents too much of a gamble.
The Ox is a great squad player in the way Milner was.

Bit of common sense. I ask again, why would we play sterling at wingback. Waste of his talents. Also, show me an example of 3 5 2 working in the prem. Pep will not use such a new formtio, he has tl get he players used to his game first

Can't underestimate the importance an English core will have in terms of the media opinion of us. Whether you care or not, how the media portrays you as a club/team is important, and I think it affects the referees, too.
If we have hart, stones, and a performing sterling and oxlade chamberlain, the media will suddenly become a lot more positive. Especially if those 4 are key in the England team going forward.

That being said....I like oxlade chamberlain, but I'm not sure he is going to propel us to where we want to be?
Early in Bobby's tenure we had a ton of English players. I remember watching an English international game that included (Hart, Lescott, Richards, Milner, Johnson...and I think Bridge) all in the starting lineup. Media still hated us.

Fully agree. In fact we could have 8 or 9 and they would still hate us

No thanks, injury prone and average,if we are looking for a right winger, Salah from Roma looks better.
