Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

Disappointed for Newcastle

Fair fucks for going after and getting who they want from the Scouse cunts. Acting like a team that wants to dominate and they will

Yep they’ve been ruthless when on top. We need a serious few windows over the next 2 years.

Maybe but Real Madrid have got a lot more than that and they don’t win everything. The trick is that the team is greater than the sum of the parts. Let’s not give up just yet.
Agreed, you need to have a team but having great players(with the right mentality) certainly helps. A title winning squad as we’ve seen over years needs your Milner’s and Darren Fletcher’s. When you keep losing great players due to age though and signing more James Milner like players than say a Gundo or Walker you aren’t going to be winning titles.

I see what you mean but, for me, it's more a manifestation of the rules designed to protect the cartel, not only hampering up and coming teams from buying but enabling the architects of the rules to weaken them whilst strengthening themselves.

I'd rather we had done similar instead of adding Nunes and Doku to a treble winning team

Remember we finished stronger than any club in the PL last season to finish third. It was bad by our standards but our standards are extremely high.

I think a lot of blues will be disappointed if finishing third and an FA cup final is completely unacceptable now. Obviously we will try to get back to the level of 2023 or as near as we can but it’s far from easy and may never happen again. Think how Liverpool felt when we won four in a row…they came back but it took them years.

The PL is probably the strongest domestic league the World has ever seen right now. A little patience may help.
Going on a good run in the end of the season when the title was already lost and we had 12 games without facing any of the clubs finishing in CL positions in the table, while during that time also losing a final against Palace (not to mention later also being knocked out by the mighty Al-Hilal from the CWC), is not exactly something that fills me with confidence about our ability to compete going into the next season.

I'm not saying we must win and anything but winning all the time is unacceptable. But I would at least expect us having a window that is putting out a clear statement that we are aiming to come back for the title. I think it's hard to argue the window we just had is (so far).

Yes, it's crazy to think that 3rd and the FA Cup was our best season since 1969-70 when it happened in 2011. We were all delighted.

The PL is a very competitive league all the way down. That's what sets it apart from many other leagues. But I watched the two title favourites in action yesterday afternoon and was really underwhelmed. Whilst I think it’s obvious that both sides are better than we are currently, I don't think they're so far ahead that we might never catch them. Klopp's 2018-22 Liverpool were a daunting prospect and if they were around now then I'd be in a bad place. But Slot's side are getting by with average performances and late winners. All three winning goals have been from the 82nd minute onwards. That speaks to having confidence and the mentality that is brought about by winning. It's why we were able to get a draw at home to Arsenal and a win at Wolves last autumn. But as we well know, an injury crisis and a step on the downward spiral can undo all of those good habits.

You’re right we put a good run together towards the end of the season and did well to finish where we did. However, how many times did you watch us and think we looked good? It was more about getting the points and stumbling over the line to then hopefully improve the team vastly over the summer. Contrast that to the end of Peo’s first season where we got 4th on the final day i think. Where you could see a really exciting side emerging that played great too.
I don’t like watching us. I find us boring and negative and I never thought I would say that about a Pep side. I can tolerate this style if it’s a winning style, as it was for the 2nd half of last season to get us top 4. Watching us play this way and lose is awful on the eyes.

And the brain!

Two games ago many were arguing Reijnders and Cherki were the best signings of the window?

He might well have cried his way to the Dippers, the fact is many players have done it including Mahrez to join us.

Either way the cunts have got a world class striker.

Bastards.

No, the ex dippers in the media will be talking up the move as necessary for his career. Half the people going to football will lap it up.
Sadly this.

Grealish joined us at the peak of the "the dirty little oil club are ruining fooball. Wah, wah, we can't compete" media narrative, and the Dipper's are being lauded as the saviour of football as we know it. The media bias surrounding the PL is disgusting and arguably racially motivated.

Great signing for Liverpool, though Isak’s attitude and character have to be called into question. If he impresses at Liverpool, he’ll probably be clamouring for a move to Madrid in a few years’ time.
