Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

Which is odd because those very same Dipper journo's accused us of ruining football not that long ago.

I guess if it weren't for double standards...
I bet it's the same dipper journalists who said we made the league boring being so far in front and then said journalist couldn't keep his pecker in when the tramps did the same thing.

I said the other day mathematics tells us the scouse bastards have a 31% chance of winning the league. Several of the resident knicker wetters on here think it's all over with without ball being kicked. They depress the arse off me. Every fucking day, dippers are stronger, he only wants dippers blah bollocks blah.

Rivals will always buy players. If we are successful or not depends mostly on what we do. If we can get more players than Haaland to contribute with goals, and stop conceding 10+ chances every game just from the opposition booting the ball long, we are going to be competing in the top again.

Marmoush - Ekitake
No one will argue Marmoush is better. Ask any Frankfurt fan.

Haaland - Isak
All the praise Isak got and he only scored just 1 more than Haaland in his worst season.

Foden - Wirtz
Foden was the best player in the league 12 months ago.
Wirtz didn’t do anything v Bayern in the CL games.
The only reason why anyone would pick Wirtz above Foden is because Foden is not a shiny new toy. Wirtz is.
Foden has the trophies and the stats to prove he’s the better player if he’s back to normal.

Cherki - Salah
Yeah Salah. No debate. But he’s getting older. He will only decline now.

So when you add Rodri and Reijnders behind (the best player in the world and Serie A best player) and they add Gravenback and MacAllister. So in conclusion Liverpools new players aren’t anything we haven’t got. It’s just all new and exciting for everyone.

It’s not really names that’s the issue for us. It’s our crap defending. Pep needs to change things and we might be ok.

Our issues are that our midfielders and wingers add hardly any goals and we only have half a top class back four; Gvardiol and Ait-Nouri. I wish I could include Stones as he’s brilliant but he’s always bloody injured.

This is a pretty good sum up of how games of City vs Liverpool go.. we tend to deadlock each other and it's a mistake or a moment of brilliance by one of the squad players that starts moves that decide the game.

For example Cancelo's mistake vs Salah.. otherwise the whole game was flat nevermind that the refs called one of our goals no goal for a phantom foul that was allowed all game.

Last season though we were just shit in midfield with our non existent pressing.. so they had the advantage.

Fergie did it.

He stopped a player going to another club.

I can't remeber who it was.

I'd piss myself if the Saudi's stopped Isak going to the Yanks and Liverpool, and said he could only go to City in the PL or stay at Newcastle.

Priase be to our Arab Brothers up in the North East. :-)

The answer isn’t Isak but we need to ensure if we’re challenging we don’t want a weak link.

So we do need a RB and possibly a change in GK

Liverpool is owned by Americans. Newcastle by Saudi Arabia. City by the UAE. If you understand the history, it’s clear that Saudi Arabia has far closer ties with the U.S. than with the UAE — going all the way back to the 1930s, and the relationship only gets stronger, with billions still flowing into the U.S. today.

Now, I’m not saying they’d never do business with us in a sporting context. But for this particular player — one of their most prized assets — I highly doubt they’d want to strengthen a rival like us, especially given the underlying politics and optics involved. If the choice is between City and Liverpool, I’d bet they’d lean towards Liverpool. So yeah, “our Arab brothers up in the North East” aren’t quite as brotherly as some might think or hope,

Foden is not better than Wirtz , his all-round game has declined in the past 2 season , though his goal scoring has improved.

We had a good summer ,but our rivals did need whole sale changes . Liverpool if they sign Isak will be strong favourite , I think Arsenal also have better defense and wingers than us.

So while I’m not saying they would never do business with us in a sporting sense, for this particular player — one of their most prized assets — I highly doubt they’d want to strengthen a direct rival like us. If it came down to us or Liverpool, I’m almost certain they’d choose Liverpool. "So our Arab Brothers up in the North East" are not as brotherly as you may think or hope.

Look at it this way.

Who would the Saudis rather do business with, J.W. Henry or Sheikh Mansour?

If Liverpool was owned by Trump, you would have a point, but they aren't.

In reality, Liverpool is owned by.....

John W. Henry is an American businessman, primarily known for his involvement in sports ownership and as the founder of John W. Henry & Company, an investment management firm. He is the principal owner of the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool Football Club, and also co-owns Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing (formerly Roush Fenway Racing).

Net worth, £5.5bill.

Sheikh Mansour refers to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a prominent Emirati royal and politician. He is the current Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the Minister of the Presidential Court. He is also a member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi and the brother of the current UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Additionally, he is known for being the owner of Manchester City Football Club.

Sheikh Mansour's individual net worth is estimated to be at least £17 billion, with a family fortune of around $300 billion.
