Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

@mexico1970 @citizen_maine This is not a defence of the player! Please note that.

A key point in this would be, Eddie Howe said he made the decision to send Isak home, train alone and that he wasn't available to be picked. Newcastle said he was injured.

That would have a bearing on any legal case. A top notch lawyer would probably have a field day there.

Sounds like the old "Protecting your investment" play, it would be interesting to know how much truth is in it when the white noise of the lying bastard media is taken out of the equation.

I'd imagine they'll continue to pay him until the window closes. After that, if he's still there and refuses to engage...

They can fine him. I did mention that yesterday. It is something about 2 weeks at first, any further issue can be 4 weeks, unsure though how many times in a12 month period. There are certain criteria.

The lad is a disgrace. As an Everton fan who dislikes the Geordies (but hates that lot) I hope they take a stand.

He was happy to sign a long term deal a couple if years ago. He sould have signed a shorter contract or had his agent get a release clause. Yes he wants to go, yes he may be unhappy and submit a request. But at the end if the day, the club has to do whats best for the club not him. Selling one of the top strikers in the world when there are not many decent replacements available is not going to push the club forward. If he has another great season top clubs will come for him again. Very unprofessional.

I hope they refuse to sell him and surely if he refuses to train/play once the window is shut then they can refuse to pay him. Also is he going to ruin his chances of going to a WC at the end of the season? Dont think so.

Plus any RS getting giddy over him being a tit, need to remember that should they get him and then Real/Barca etc tap him up in a few years
He hasnt even submitted an actual transfer request apparently despite all the media fall out saying he wont play etc, as that triggers some contract clauses causing the player to lose a bunch of money, which for me only adds to his cuntishness.

As has been mentioned, the only way this is "acceptable" is if there was an explicit deal to allow him to leave which has been reneged on, im not buying that considering his behaviour and based on history we know these deals will be ignored by either party if it suits them, get it in a contract if its that important.

Whole thing likely stems from Liverpool tapping up yet another player and their arrogance to sign Newcastles main target first, despite knowing it would make signing Isak much harder but hoping that unsettling him would force it through.

Make him suffer. Who do these players think they are calling the shots and going on strike?

Really hope the magpies stand their ground and dig their heels in.
Completely agree, you would think with 3 years on his contract that Newcastle hold the power. However, holding onto a player who has downed his tools and is unwilling to play could cause unrest in the squad.

It still amazes me the lengths football players will go to push through a desired transfer …. none of which seem to involve either themselves or their agents suffering any financial loss. Fernandinho being the only exception that I know of.

This guys moving like an absolute fucking Arsehole I'd have him training with the kids and doing 2 hour laps of the children's wards of the local hospitals at 7am every morning and if he's a minute late that's a maximum fine of 2 weeks wages. Ungrateful surly twat. Newcastle took a chance on him when no big club would because of his terrible injury record and this is the thanks they get?

If I could advise Newcastle, I’d tell them to
issue themselves a £200m interest free owners loan. Tell Isaak to go fuck himself and buy themselves a few decent players.

Vlahovic is still available isn’t he?

I wouldnt pay any more than 50m for him and even then I'd be suspect over it.

If lfc want to drop him, let Salah continue his rich vein for example, he is likely to be one of those players that throw their toys out of the pram. I'm getting Ronaldo vibes with this guy.

not sure they can do that. buy players from the owner loan and not fail PSR. I think its more about saving interest fees as yearly cost what those loans all about compared to if they got the loan the proper way.

better to sell piece of parking lot or woman team as that counts as revenue. still fucks with Uefa but all above board for PL.

I guess they could sell Isaak to a team in Saudi for £150m. Then never play him over there.
Reinvest all that money..

What i heard from my Swedish sources today is a lot promises have been broken by the Geordies. It relates to

- Salary when qualifying for CL
- Signings of high caliber that never materialised
- Staveley had given her word about sale a very short list of clubs us included.

From what I am hearing this is beyond repair.

Isak is a very calm guy so they must have rubbed him up the wrong way or his agent has been able to poison his thoughts.

Gyökeres on the other hand was really shitty towards Sporting from the same sauce.

2 of those 3 should have been in his contract though, so it's difficult to have much sympathy for those

It is telling how different the media coverage of all this is, compared to when we trued to sign Kane
We had hypocritical dickheads like Solkelol banging on about City ‘killing the romance of football’ and asking ‘what about the young children who support spurs?!!!!’
