I dont know how it would work but he's the sort of player every club should be interested in.

I would guess £150m for anybody that wants him.

Do Liverpool really spend £400m+ this summer?

Do Arsenal drop Gyokeres and make it work?

Or will Saudi be the only option left?

Frustrating for Newcastle fans, essentially too late to the PSR party, the same institutions that are holding them down are now tapping up their players.

It’s irrelevant. He wants Liverpool by all accounts.

Personally if I where Newcastle is bank the money and sign 5 top players 1 step back to go 2 forward

Big pay day coming, the Geordies will throw money at him unless he scouse have already promised him 3 sacks of giros per week to get him there.

I'm just speculating because all this is just paper talk up to now.
In a way we have to hope he goes to Liverpool as that will mean their spendings done for about 6 x windows surely! so it will have to work for them. This financial model proves its been designed by the cartel for the cartel...3/4 of the league have to sell their best players every season just to keep paddling... it's such a farce... Liverpool being able to spend nigh on £400min one window - we were never close to that yet everyone rightly said it's not really a level playing field when City can spend so much... the league structure is a farce..what can the likes of Wolves, Palace et al realistically play for?
Its always been so ...this is why I think a lot of American owners would prefer a sort of draft system and 'sort of' salary cap which in all honesty - would be better for the league in all honesty

In no world does any City fan hope he goes to Liverpool. Get off the glue mate. Guys ace.

Playing devils advocate haven’t we spent more than Liverpool net over last few years ? They are just run really well and are selling players for big money and reinvesting by signing better players

He is only going there so our best hope if he goes is probably this window - trying to bed 7 new players maybe our only hope - they may not gel straight away etc..and surely it will mean no big trfs for some time! although i think the rules will change IF Liverpool needed to spend more! I have always said that we shouldn't have been allowed to spend the money we have - makes the league uncompetitive - no good for anyone... Liverpool despite claiming they dont spend ALWAYS have...most expensive GK / CH etc... and that is during a no spend period...apparently! If your a Fulham fan for eg... what do you hope for every season...bit of a joke really

Last 5 seasons, transfermarkt has it at:
Liverpool - €480m net
City - €367m net

That also ignores a lot of youth player sales and add ons and sell on, of which we have done significantly better than them at.

I would imagine they have spent at least €200m more net than us in the last 5 years.

Well salah is getting on and reckon they’ll sell him next summer or even this summer to Saudi for 100m!

Liverpool get him then they’ll have some team
