Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

losing Diaz is a big loss, no other natural left winger, him and robertson have been a massive threat do their balance might not be quite the same.Means Wirtz either drops back or plays out left, if he plays as a 10 then their midfield that played so well is not as defensive. Trent a big miss. I think they will be a lot more open at the back this season
They removed Alexander Arnold. There's no way they are worse defensively without him unless Frimpong is a cone.

All Newcastle needs to do is sell Livramento to us and tell Isak he's going nowhere.

A strong statement from Newcastle and the player has a three year contract.

If he doesn't want to perform, they can wait it out another two years.

I`m sure Livramento would move to us so we just need to bang a big number down and get him! Having 22 and 23 full backs sets us up for years to come!

Can't believe the money they're getting for Nunez, an absolute dog shit player.
The transfer window has some strange dealings going on, United and Liverpool getting bailed out of their awful signings

Alvarez was easily worth 100mil+

Some very " odd " fees apparently being obtained for players recently, Chelsea selling Joao Felix (having failed at every club he has played for) for with a potential of circa £42m ?

yes and he signed a 2 year contract. I think Chelsea will buy him back in 12 months time for 10m, and sell him back to Saudis again for 45m in 24 months time. hahaha

Sadly, we have our own players trying to shift.

If there was any inkling of interest, City would be able to offer all manner of players in addition to cash.

I would also argue Trafford would have been leveraged by both parties if it were a route to Livramento.

Though my thoughts are swathed in sky-blue, a better front-line of Haaland, Foden, Cherki, Savinho, Doku and Bobb will be very hard to find.
That combination is filled with goals and creativity.
The trio behind them is where the balance needs to be found, and Rodri's return is pivotal. I hope that Reijnders and Gonzalez can strike the balance with him in understanding when to sit, and when to go.

That is heavily swayed by blue tinted glasses. Even with Haaland, there are 2 PL teams and about 4 other teams in Europea with a better front 3 than us. Our attacking output mostly rests on whether Cherki will adjust to the league and if Phil managed to sort out his issues.

So Livramento seems off the table? Who would be next then as Hugo needs to get that RB to complete his summer of fixing issues?

Let's see how many teams in Europe will score more goals than City next season. My prediction: no more than 1-2, if any.

Real are great on paper but they won nothing last season. So, if one is cautious about City, the same applies to Real. Barca have Lewandowski who turns 37 (?) next year. No doubt their options on the wings are fantastic, but our attacking players are young and some may make big steps next season, who knows? Plus, imo, we have more depth. The same holds for PSG and Bayern, great first options but not enough depth.

Only time will tell, but my bet is, we'll be good. :)

Plus Marmoush, better stats than Isak last season... The resident wums would have hailed Omar if Liverpool or Arsenal were signing him.

Potential top frontline. Cherki, Savinho and Bobb have done little or indeed nothing in the PL yet. Doku at best divides opinion. Only Phil and Haaland have reached the heights. I agree that this potential is exciting, particularly Cheki and Bobb, but it needs to become a reality maybe not this season but 2 or 3 years down the line.

City don’t have a squad of mercenaries.

our players have got an interest in actually playing at the top level.

Chelsea have no issues selling players because they don’t care where they play, they just want wages.

I have no doubt Saudi are interested in several city players but none of them have an interest in going.

Isak won’t play up because there’s a World Cup next summer so he will have to knuckle down, Newcastle hold a few cards…. They just need to play them well.

Can't see Newcastle selling Isak if Sesko goes to the rags. They're talking about bringing in Muniz from Fulham. You can't replace Alexander Isak with Rodrigo Muniz. That would be insane.

The only way I see Isak leaving is if Sesko and Wissa go to Newcastle. The Saudi's aren't mugs.

Sesko going rags instead of Newcastle , why the hell is he going there, I hate this window players that I watch as a neutral going to clubs I can’t stand.
