I'm no expert, but don't think it works like that. £500 mill amortised over 5 years would be £100mill a year on their books.Sales this year might cover it for this year but over the next 5 years not so sure. Didn't they lose £50mill last year? Not sure they can cover an extra £100 mil a year on the outgoings for the next 5 years.Though somebody with a better idea of the accounting side of it might put me right.
 
Some Newcastle fans thinks selling Isak they’ll be able to spend 600m and be fine with PSR maybe but there main problem and problem with all clubs who want to push up the league is wages! You want to compete to win trophies continuously you need a wage bill of 500m+

They obviously haven't thought who are they going to buy that's on a par with isak while strengthening one of their main competitors?
 
Really would love it for someone to finally 1) stand up to the tap up merchants because the way they deal is so underhanded they deserve it, and 2) to Give some power back to the selling clubs instead of always getting bent over and fucked by the established cartel any time they have a gem

I have no doubts Newcastle will stand firm IF selling Isak doesn't make enough sense for them.

The key is PSR: IF selling Isak helps them big time, then it might make sense.

Imagine that Liverpool sign Isak and we beat them to the title :) Their fans won't get over it.
 
Since Klopp said he wouldn’t spend the kind of money the rags spent on Pogba .. they’re gonna have broken the premier league record for a keeper, defender, midfielder and striker. And likely the premier league record for any player twice in one window

Liverpool taking the piss quite frankly. He's worth £150m+ to Newcastle. 3 years on his contract, they have have the negotiating power here.
 
We all know they’ll get him in the end. Crazy window from them. They’ll win the league again this year but it’s funny to see the Liverpool fans crying in the comments that Newcastle should just roll over and let him go.
