Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

Sesko to Newcastle pretty much confirms Isak to Liverpool. Cracking signing for the dippers

Not really.
We needed a good striker to replace Wilson, and we’re wanting to be able to change formation this season.
I’m not really inclined to believe the rumour that he’s chose us at the moment, but even if we do, I think Liverpool have shot their load.
Rumours is we actually told Liverpool to fuck off with those exact words before they even finished saying what they were saying.

Someone I know who knows someone has said than an email has gone into the Premier League saying that all communication about our fixture against them at SJP in the 2nd week of the season should be done via the Premier League and not directly, same for the reverse fixture later in the season because we point blank refuse to talk to them now.
Another person who I know who works for the police is saying the club are trying to see if we can further limit the allocation for Liverpool fans on the fears that there is now too much aggro between the supporters.

The Saudi's aren't mugs. They won't sell if it isn't on their terms. Player still has 3 years left on his contract, I'm sure he will be told to shut up and get back to training if a fee can't be agreed.

Isak needs to grow up to be honest. We know he wants to leave, but he's going about it the wrong way. He's shown no respect to the Newcastle supporters who adore him.

If Liverpool do walk away, I'd find that staggering. Almost tapping up the player, low balling and then not following up with what Newcastle would deem acceptable

If this was City....

Would £70m + Marmoush tempt them ?
Don’t disrespect Marmoush like that.
He still has over four years left on his contract, so what exactly makes you think he's only worth £50–60M?
In today’s inflated market, a player with that much time left on their deal, who’s delivering performances like Marmoush, is easily commanding £100M+.

Just look around, players like Hojlund, Sesko, and Ekitike have gone for ridiculous fees, often based on potential alone. Marmoush has already proven more than many of them. So whether you rate him or not, whether you think he’s worth that or not. The reality is, in this market, he is.

If you had said, (Marmoush + £90M-maybe 100M) for (Isak + Livramento), then I would consider standing down. Newcastle would get rid of a disgruntled player and get a prolific attacker in Marmoush and spending power to buy a new RB and strengthen another area of their squad + a new goal keeper.

It's a moot point anyhow but you honestly think we'd get £100m for Marmoush ?

No chance.

Yes, it’s a moot point — but there’s absolutely no chance we give him away and then go pay an additional £70M on top.

So yes, in a world where players like Sesko and Ekitike are commanding those kinds of fees, we should absolutely get £100M for Omar.

If NUFC don't want to sell, then they should be clear. "He's not for sale but we value him at £150m" is ambiguous. Eddie Howe's public stance is weak too. I interpret this as Newcastle Utd presenting 2 faces, one to their fans, and one to the player and Liverpool FC, "Isak can go if you pay £150m".

Liverpool have also sold Diaz which suggests confidence that they will get Isak.

If Newcastle's owners don't want to sell Isak, just make a club statement on your website. That they haven't done this, suggests to me that they are prepared to sell and are just negotiating the fee.

How we proceed from here depends on whether Liverpool are willing to pay close to £150m.

Supports the theory of every player is for sale if the price is right.

Haha here he is we’ve found him lads! The classic ‘say something not completely biased to city, you must be a rival fan’. It’s a forum, you’re allowed to have different opinions.

We’ve just come a very distant 3rd and Liverpool have gone out and signed the very best available in most positions if you include Isak in this. We will not challenge them for the league this season unless something miraculous happens in my view, if that makes me a Liverpool fan all of a sudden then so be it.
We only have to play Liverpool twice in a season. Considering the quality of our squad and manager, we should be beating all the other teams, regardless of how we do against Liverpool.
That's why Liverpool will not run away with it.

All depends if they strengthen the back line and how much defending they will have to do! There weakness is midfield and back line plus can salah keep up his unbelievable standards? They’ve lost Trent’s assists Diaz work rate! But think they’ll scare teams that much they’ll be 2/3 up before there defence come under any pressure!

All I’m saying is it’s not a full gone conclusion that Liverpool will win the league! There favourites because they won the league last season and bought for me one world class player the rest a question mark!

Arsenal look very strong we do Chelsea will come into the season full of confidence and belief after there CWC win.

I want to see with 3 games to go at least 3 can still win the league…

So looking forward to this season..

Its vital the Newcastle owners either dont let player power win or dont get the valuation that they want otherwise its a point of weakness for other players to force things? Every player is for sale but on YOUR TERMS and not being pushed around by a fucking agent or dirty red top club.

Agree but think they’ll fold now if it looks like they getting Sesko for a reported fee of £76m Reckon Isak will go for around £115m+15m addons

Your spot on.

I even get the impression that yesterday's bid was probably 'dismissed' (I could work for SSN using that word!) more on payment terms than the actual amount.

Like Newcastle will want more up front, fewer instalments etc...

Being a pedant but it’s “foregone” conclusion not “full gone” and thinking the Dippers will be 2/3 up in games before the opposition figures them out is naive.
