Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

Newcastle moving for Sesko this morning indicates they've waved the white flag. Good chance Liverpool will get him for £120m.
Why? They bid €80mil for Ekitike a few weeks back to play alongside Isak

Not sure that's waving the white flag, they were clearly after a striker and doubt they are gonna budge much on the price

I'm more shocked why they havent bought a a new CB, its madness going into the season with Schar and Dan Burn as 1st chocie CB (Botman is injured again)

Haha here he is we’ve found him lads! The classic ‘say something not completely biased to city, you must be a rival fan’. It’s a forum, you’re allowed to have different opinions.

We’ve just come a very distant 3rd and Liverpool have gone out and signed the very best available in most positions if you include Isak in this. We will not challenge them for the league this season unless something miraculous happens in my view, if that makes me a Liverpool fan all of a sudden then so be it.
Rag.

Bozeman isn’t injured it was safety measure but yeah they desperately need a new CB. That might come after the striker though. There‘s still time

Any chance of us moving on Akanji or Stones to them?

If we could keep everyone fit, we'd definitely be in the mix. But keeping everyone fit is our achilles heel. Yet again, this is what Pep's banking on with Stones, Aké & a returning Rodri.

This being the case, Baldy has more faith in key members of our small squad staying fit over the course of next season than me...
The chances of either Stones or Ake being available for say 30 league games are small. Rodri is an unknown with the possibility of a series of muscle injuries on the cards. On the basis of this alone it will be difficult to win the league but it would be foolish to throw in the towel before a ball is kicked.

This is why I think we'll know more how our season will pan out by the make-up of our squad once the window slams shut.

How many of our ageing, injury prone squad will remain?

How many of our new younger recruits will remain & how much of a oart will they be trusted to play?

I suppose we'll know soon enough mate. We need a mix of legs & the very best of our experienced old guard to see us through. If we can avoid injuries to the old guard, added to the new recruits, I reckon we'll be there or there abouts.

I saw two things at the CWC. During the first two matches, we played with a flair & freedom that I've not seen in ages. Granted, we still looked shaky in defence at times, but that's something we can work on.

HOWEVER, against Al Hilal, we seemed to revert to the formation & tactics of last season & we were eliminated. The big question is what CWC version of City will Pep opt for when season 2025-26 kicks off?

Not really.
We needed a good striker to replace Wilson, and we’re wanting to be able to change formation this season.
I’m not really inclined to believe the rumour that he’s chose us at the moment, but even if we do, I think Liverpool have shot their load.
Rumours is we actually told Liverpool to fuck off with those exact words before they even finished saying what they were saying.

Someone I know who knows someone has said than an email has gone into the Premier League saying that all communication about our fixture against them at SJP in the 2nd week of the season should be done via the Premier League and not directly, same for the reverse fixture later in the season because we point blank refuse to talk to them now.
Another person who I know who works for the police is saying the club are trying to see if we can further limit the allocation for Liverpool fans on the fears that there is now too much aggro between the supporters.
Welcome to the club, once the vermin hold a grudge against you for whatever reason their fans never let it go.
For us it probably started with sterlings transfer I mean no fucker is allowed to leave that cult of a club and from then on anyone who dares to be as good or better than them You’re on their hate list.
Look how they treated taa after years of service. YNWA haha do me a favour, the way they’ve tapped up isak is typical vermin behavior, not only have they put your lot into an impossible position with the player now being targeted by the fans but also buying ekitike knowing you were interested
And leaving you with a player who’s now vilified by fans and no doubt some of the players quite rightly mind and also leaving
You struggling and forcing you to find a striker. They totally manufactured this situation with isak but also made sure they were covered with ekitike.
That club who’s managed to create a situation where nobody can criticise them despite having the worse fans in the league
As said by every other teams fans are a stain on the league.

Apparently he’s already rejected a new contract, dippers done a job on him.
That’s why they not bidding anymore or bought ekitike beforehand. They knew it would turn Isak‘s head . How did they even make contract and had a personal agreement without Newcastle’s permission? Is that even allowed?
