Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

What makes you think this drama wouldn't happen here as well if we go after Livermento ?

We have been linked all summer to him, yet is he throwing his toys out the pram? It's very rarely a player we are linked to or sign behaves this way. Nunes was one. But the club would usually question the character of someone acting this way and don't look to disrupt a club - it's not how we do business.

What's to say Isak doesn't do the exact same thing if Barca or Real come knocking in a couple of years?

He has a better chance of success at the dippers and will get more money but Newcastle have helped him make his name and he has three years left on his contract. They've hardly treated him badly.

That was a weaker statement to be honest. I was expecting a stronger statement than this. compared to them

We bid, behind the scenes and if we cannot agree walk away we don't use fabrizio romano as a proxy club spokeman feeding a narative like he has for liverpool

If we bid for livamento and newcastle refuse it we will walk away and we certainly won't try to get the player to be sold via the press or expect the player to start acting like a ****

If a club comes to an agreement with a player, then changes their mind. Making the player see out their contract, in whatever way they see fit, all the work they have done improving the prospects of the club, are taking a huge hit.

Some posters are letting their hearts overrule their head. Imagine you're a talented footballer and your dream is to play for City.
You're offered the chance to join a club, that took the step of forcing a player to see out 3 years of his contract, when he declared his desire to leave.
You are also offered the chance to join Aston Villa. You are destined to be the star player but are on a 5 year deal.

In that scenario, which club would you rather be at, when City come calling 2 years into your contract?
Ahh of course the Liverpool fan sees the human in all this.
Ever the humanitarians aren’t you? fighting for the little guy, the potato famine sufferers (2025), or the bottle throwers.

This is your **** of a club’s fault by the way, tapping him up and refusing to meet a club’s evaluation of him and letting him make an utter twat of himself. So well done!

No club should EVER be allowed to publicly express a desire for a player under contract with another club unless it’s the January before his contract expires. ANYTHING EKSE is rapping up and the club should be fined a non-de minimus amount to deter them and others.

The Spanish clubs do this all the time! They mention players who are entering their last year, state a pathetic offer, know it’ll be turned down, then say they would be very interested in welcoming the player once his contract is expired!!

Newcastle basically saying he's lying:

I'm inclined to believe the club to be honest. None of the timelines make sense from Isak's perspective.

He's been tapped up by Liverpool during the summer and is now trying to force it.

Classily done by Newcastle there.
