Showed very little at Sociedad to suggest that he'd be the player he is now, which just goes to show that players can improve drastically over time.
Watched him for years he was great at AIK, did not get chance a Dortmund, great in Holland and great for Sociedad, Talent was there everybody to see years ago.

Lots of players look great playing against teams who dont pack their defence, look at Jack at Villa
Completely different players and position for that matter. His production is also on a different level to what Jack ever had in Aston Villa.

Man are we that fucking insecure that a player who has been playing well for 2.5 weeks is now suddenly a shinier new toy than Haaland? Who happened to be the last new toy shinier than Aguero. Can we not just appreciate the players we have while we have them?

Terrfic goal scorer but has gone missing when we needed him. Kevin, Aguero etc are big game players so is Isak. Haaland is more in the Sterling mould for big games.
I think we’ve generally turned more cautious since the quadruple. We certainly played faster, more free-flowing football.

I think we’ve sort of leashed Haaland. We’re not making enough quality chances, the midfield is poor, our wingers don’t score enough and if he gets injured, our next top scorer is our LB with 4. He’s playing cautiously and we don’t break quickly like we used to. If his hamstring goes, it’s season over.

I agree and Haaland would absolutely smash for someone like Real or Red candle dippers. I just think Isak could create his own chances with us in a better way than Haaland.

Yeah probably mate, but I think with a functioning midfield and more productive wingers, it’d be harder to mark him out the game. He’s still the best striker in the world.

Wonder if newcastle keep him or cash in during the summer window, for sure going to be some 100m bids being thrown around.

Actually had a pretty poor game playing wise by his recent standards.. where he barely has made a mistake and put a foot wrong, a bit sloppy and looked tired, everything goes his way now though and his points production is off the charts. Delivered when it mattered.
