He is just that - a **** - anyone else would be hounded out of office and in Jail by now - how he survives in office is beyond me but clearly a stain on the country and its politics.
He’s in office because he won a landslide election victory little over two years ago - people voted for him even though they knew he was a shit. He may have subsequently proved to be an even bigger shit than people expected back then, and he was always pre-disposed to break almost any set of COVID rules. But he’s in still in office and could survive for a while yet purely because of the size of the majority he won in 2019.

He won that general election because he recognised that a majority of the electorate actually wanted a hard Brexit. He also won in 2019 because a majority of the electorate had a deep-seated belief that Corbyn was unelectable.

Counterfactuals are by definition hard to prove. But if the Labour Party had recognised those two points after the 2017 election and gotten rid of Corbyn, then I think they could well have won in 2019, or at least got close enough to the Tories so that people like Johnson and his ragtag government couldn’t be tolerated for long. Unfortunately the country didn’t have an effective opposition for years, and it’s only been in the past few months that any effective pressure has been applied.

It’s all very well the Guardian publishing photos of people sat in the Downing Street garden where rules may or may not have been broken, but they helped prop Corbyn up when it was obvious he had to go, and they should shoulder a fair chunk of the blame for what happened in 2019. Self-indulgent, hard left fantasists helped put Johnson in office but for people like Angela Rayner, it’s easier to continue with the Pantomime act and bleat on about Eton rather than recognising how badly they fucked up.

Starmer seems to be serious about winning again but he still has a lot of work to do.

A clear sign he is gone by Easter

More likely a sign she's implicated in the parties story. When it first came out, it was said all the political editors knew about it and some might have been there.

They managed to dodge that by whipping up the frenzy against no.10 but there's a reckoning coming for people like Kuenesburg who sold their journalistic integrity for access.
