It’s also to cover up his deliberate lack of preparation and laziness.

But watch this interview for comparison, he could be arsed to prep accordingly and to talk clearly and seriously to this room of stiffs.

 
This is playing out pretty much as I reckoned a couple of days ago, the only difference appears to be that Boris has left some people enough rope to hang themselves.

It is amazing how rampant the inverse virtue signalling in certain corners gets, how quickly it ramps up and spills over into hostile discourse and cliched pops at everyone else. It's also amazing how I don't trust him not to let it go much much further - or to jump on board again, if that's how it pans out. Hideous to me that's where this country is up. Sigh. Another year or more of this.
 
Hmmm Can I just point out that booze has been banned in all Civil Service offices for years.

Parliament is another matter but, 10's garden should fall under the former statement.
