There’s already a duty of candour in the health service. It’s not so hard, I’m involved in a very small way doing occasional reports and investigations and preparing notes for release.

I don’t think a Dury of candour trumps some peoples natural inclination to lie and some institutions natural instinct to obfuscate and cover up though. You would only have the word of the perennial liar that he wasn’t lying
