As Ruth Davidson pointed out on bbc , she can’t understand how this evidence has been out there for so long and not been reported on.
I think that that is down to the popular media and their brexit supporting owners.
They lobbied furiously for brexit - for various reasons, some financially obvious, and we now seem to be approaching a kind of tipping point with the failed project, with even the Telegraph,’ boris’s real boss‘ to quote himself probably the most pro-Tory, pro-brexit of them all, being critical of the so-called ‘benefits’ which appear to be further away than ever, if they ever existed.
There is no doubt that the powerful media barons and their friends in high places want their brexit dream to continue whatever the cost to us plebs, but now see the man who got the notion into voters’ heads and won an election on the back of it, as a weak liability.
They must draw attention away from the brexit disaster, and Johnson is a ready made target due to his total inability to do his job, or even just tell the truth. He can be safely discredited without damaging the brexit brand too much.
We must believe that brexit is still wonderful for everyone in ‘global britain’ but it’s just not being implemented properly by this leader.
So he has to go.
The real worry is what kind of extreme right wing, brexit loving, flag-shagger they replace him with.
It was interesting that ex Sun editor tweeted today that every journo in the land knew of these parties. The only problem was that most of Johnson's mates were editors and many would have been at or at least invited to the parties. The only question is the longer this drags on the more damage it is doing to the tory party.

Regardless of which wooden top comes in they may well be flogging a dead horse trying to win the next election. The damage has been done,

You are probably right unfortunately, whether he will still be PM at the next election is questionable.
As I said previously, at this present moment, they are the only ones who can kick him out. Certainly he will not be in at the next GE but he will be there for the foreseeable future so that he can carry the can.

There are some serious judgment calls to be made in the con party over the next few weeks/months.
The major concern for the erg and the media barons who run this country, is just how toxic the lying fraud becomes in relation to brexit and their pathological need for it to remain in place.
Remember, he was voted in almost solely on the promise to ‘get brexit done’ on their behalf, and if there‘s any chance of it getting undone he will be dumped.
Then their obvious problem is who to replace him with.
After their reliance on the carefully cultivated jovial buffoon ‘just like one of us’ jolly chap, with the ruffled hair and the cheeky grin, which they knew the masses would readily associate with, they are left with a set of charmless, charisma and content free party drones and it will be interesting to see which way the major contenders jump now that the lump is being totally discredited.
Who will still want to be associated with deception and lies on an industrial scale?
