The question on the kangarooness of the committee brought out just another example that he cannot admit to errors.

Most of his 'apologies' are worded that he's sorry people are upset, not that he's sorry he did something wrong.

Very good point and that has been a trait of the government for the last few years. Priti Patel in particular was a champion of that approach. Her statement with regards to the allegations of bullying made against her are a case in point.

Starmer will win back the red wall seats he is growing into his role as leader and I can’t see anyone who comes close, people are not stupid they won’t forget this Tory government

Many people are "stupid"though unfortunately,or doing quite nicely so more of the same please.

To be fair, stupid is the wrong word.

People see the world differently, dependent on a host of factors, educational, societal etc etc.

Hopefully more people will believe the evidence in front of their own eyes, rather than the fairy dust, unicorn stuff the government would like them to take on trust.

People in the main vote for the Tory party of old who could be trusted not to “lie“ they had a different ideology to the Labour Party.
The problem now is TV interfering in political debate. Homelessness today but tomorrow something else.

For the first time in my memory, there is absolutely no mention of Boris Johnson in The Mail. They must be steering well clear of it all, knowing that a significant majority of the electorate now know that he lied to parliament, and to the nation.

Probably embarrassed after yesterday’s headline.

On the other hand they’re probably proud of it.

Maybe mentioned further upthread, but why was the issue of the karaoke party in Johnson's flat not raised during the enquiry?
Belting out Abba songs and chugging the vino in a confined area where he actually lived, and consequently was able to decide who attended and in what numbers?

I think the Met were very " lenient" with Johnson and FPNs, as was Sue Gray.

He knew he was breaking the rules and he knew those in No 10 were breaking the rules, because Johnson set the standards.

I pray now that the committee nail him on all charges and the house has the balls to vote in favour of their recommendations and we rid this liar from Parliament forever.
