Maybe, I think he’ll try to reach an agreement with the Irish on the backstop, and if that happens he’ll bring the WA back, it will pass easily, then we leave on October 31st, followed by a GE which he’ll win because the Brexit Party will have been killed off.
Where it gets interesting is what happens if he can’t get any meaningful changes on the backstop. He will then have the same problem Theresa May had, but he is not Theresa May. He’s far too savvy to bring the WA back unless he knows he’s going to win, so he’ll make the changes he wants to the backstop anyway and gets the WA passed through Parliament. Then he’ll say to the EU it’s this or no deal. If the EU tell him to shove it he’ll blame them for their intransigence. Then he’ll go for no deal and will be stopped by Parliament, at which stage it’s GE time, probably some sort of alliance with the Brexit Party, and a pitch that he tried to keep his promise but the nasty Europeans and Parliament stopped him.
