Your 'Complaint' took this form...

Your whole rant, of which the above is a snippet, is based on hatred of Johnson, it's not some pronouncement
of some superior morality, with you caring more about deaths than me, and what makes it amusing is the
pathetically futile reinforcement of it with a ridiculous point about Brexit.

You're really struggling to defend your position on here. You've one bit of my "rant" and ignored the fact the first bit was me asking you if you had anything to offer beyond crowing about the fact he won the election. I know he won the election. I'm asking you tell me what good has come out of it. If you think he's not any of the things I called him, such as incompetent, lazy, selfish then fine, but all you ever say is something like "lol" or "he won by a landslide and you're stuck with him now".

I haven't said I care more about deaths than you. But, I think it's true that people's unwavering support for a government that is performing badly is enabling them to carry on in the same vein. It's hurting people and it will hurt the country too if they are not held to account.

I think it's relevant to point out that the same person making an absolute mess of this is also charged with a huge task that could make or break this country. And he will break it. Because he has already shown, and continues to show, that the wellbeing of people in this country is not his primary concern.

I honestly don't have anything else to say to you now. It's sad that people would throw so much support behind somebody who is doing so much harm and doesn't even do a good job at hiding how little he cares.

You need a viable opposition to hold any government to account, because Labour stuck with Corbyn and his cronies for so long there is no opposition that's effective. Theresa may got the same stick on here and probably Cameron did too, it's mainly because he is a Tory, even if the people who don't like him because he's a Tory have a point that point would be lost in the barrage of insults aimed at him because he's a Tory.

I think that is just about spot on. That is why he is being kept in a cupboard somewhere.

I know an effective opposition is important but an effective government is the main priority and we don't have one. People are arguing Corbyn was unelectable but there's no way he'd have done a worse job than this.

That aside, it IS up to us the people to hold them to account. If the people that voted for them are making it clear their support is pretty much unconditional, then they will not change tack.

I voted Labour last time around to give him a crack at it instead of shouting from the back of the class like a disruptive teenager, obviously the electorate weren't willing to take that chance with him. The point however is that Boris could be any Tory and he's still get the flack no matter what he did.

Sorry I added a bit to my post while you replied.

That aside, I agree that any Tory PM will get some flak from people who don't vote Tory. But Johnson is definitely getting more and that's because he deserves it.

I was hoping on a hung parliament where Corbyn quit and we got some form of Lab / SNP / Lib coalition. That would have been a very good result.

Johnson has transformed the torys and they are a far less capable group. The cabinet is full of Brexit/Johnson sycophants which is a low intelligence position to start from. Many of the best tories quit. We are left with the ones that were willing to ignore the facts and parrot the populist BS that plays well with a section of the voting public but does not translate to any kind of good policy. It is no surprise to me that at the first test they are failing badly. This is just a taste of what is to come as the recovery out of the virus will be a much more difficult task. If you overlay brexit then we are fukced.

There is definitely a "If you're not with us you're against us" element to British politics today bud, it's what's killing the political process IMO and disenfranchising the normal voter.

This isn't a pop at you BTW it's just an observation.
