According to both the Guardian and the Telegraph the number of Covid-19 deaths in care homes was estimated by Care England to have reached 7,500 a week ago.

I cant begin to imagine the true covid 19 UK deaths at this moment in time, when the deaths in the community and care homes are taken into account, its truly shocking that our prime minister as allowed this to happen.

I thought it was a bit shit myself.

Can’t stand Corbyn but he’s a total irrelevance and speculating what might have been is an exercise in pointlessness.
I know ;) i have never understood the other side would have done worse than we managed to do arguement, labour really shouldn't even be in the conversation on this, aside from now when I think they are taking cheap shots here and there

Anyway I am glad boris has recovered from this bastard disease,he looks thinner and paler and I hope he has also done some soul searching on who are the important people in this country that have put their lives on the line and end the hatred the Tories have for the public services,it is time they got paid properly

As I said give it 12 Months then criticise.
Why?
Do you think it’s too early to say it’s not a good thing that we’re doing less tests per million than nearly every comparable country, and that it’s not a good thing that there are multiple reports of PPE running out.
Is it too early to suggest that it’s not a good thing that in spite of the pandemic being two weeks behind our European neighbours, our peak was higher than both Italy and Spain?

A lot of hate on here for Boris et al, lets put it into perspective if the GE would have gone the other way. Corbyn the commie got CV19 and Dianne Abacus Abbot took over in her capacity as foreign secretary as stand in PM.... I ask you just think about that for one minute, then in comes Chancellor John who decides rather than furlough business to save jobs just gives money away to anyone who writes a letter especially those who have never paid into the system saying we voted Labour so give us your money. Better the devil you know eh.

If Corbyn was in power with the same majority no one would be furloughed as everyone would have a basic universal income of around £1000 paid for by by a hike in corporation tax. Large businesses would also have to give full pay to the employees by law. Smaller ones would be helped by the state. Mortgage/Rent/Utility bills would have been frozen until the crisis had passed. I would even wager wed be looking at the lock down ending around now as he wouldn't have bullshitted the nation and we'd be under quarantine late January/early Feb with the media accusing him of acting like Fidel Castro. Ironically for a pacifist he'd have enabled the war powers act to ensure workers at highest risk would be tested first and have the right PPE, equipment to fight it and shared this with our European neighbours despite his own views on the EU. When it had passed no one who couldnt afford to pay it back in wouldn't be expected too. Mcdonnell will have used money regained from a tax evasion bill and we'd all be thanking Phillip Green, Richard Branson for paying it in.

This hypothesising something that never happened is a piece of piss isn't it?

The herd immunity and protecting the vulnerable way too late was only going to go one way sadly
