From memory it was Johnson and Rees-Smugg trying to disband the Standard Committee before it got chance to rule on Paterson's case that was his undoing wasn't it?

Tbh I'm a bit pissed off now that the govt (and opposition) have wasted six months slating each other for party's and takeaway curries instead of gripping 10% inflation, fuel poverty and the cost of living crisis in general. Bored now .

It’s not the opposition’s job to grip 10% inflation, fuel poverty or the cost of living crisis. They are there to hold the government to account which they are unable to do effectively due to the government’s 80 seat majority. In spite of this they have made policy suggestions that have been sneered at and ignored by the government. There is only one party responsible for the shit state of the country and it’s not the opposition. Having a leader that spouts simplistic phrases and would rather tell lies about how great things are and focus on lining the pockets of the party’s backers rather than actually deal with any problems seriously is a bit of a drawback to say the least.

In spite of Thatcher’s wholesale destruction of British industry and decimation of many towns in the north of England, not to mention her hatred of football fans, I would choose her as PM over Johnson in a heartbeat.

That’s what they are hoping for. They are massively responsible for the cost of living crisis too. The economy lost £80b in trade due to Brexit. That’s just the start. A shot show run by shits who hope we get fed up and look the other way. Fortunately for the Tories too much of England leans over a desk and takes it up the arse without a fucking whimper.
