Alexis Sanchez - "City would have won the Champions League if I'd have signed."

I think this is what happened: City offered him a deal in January which he accepted but then arsenal wouldn’t sell because they didn’t replace him. City told him to hang on until the next window and they’d buy him. When it got towards that next window his agent went and got a higher offer from United which he expected to dangle in front of City and they’d match. City said no chance and walked away leaving him high and dry at United and having burnt his bridges at City, a club who do business on handshakes.

UnFuckinBelievable! So the reputed £600k including bonuses per week from Old Toilet had fuck all to do with it then? :-/

I'm still pissed we didn't get Van Persie, Hazard, Isco or Sanchez, but to be fair we didn't do too badly without them.

Their loss... \0/

He's an all-time City ledge - used us to leverage £600k a week out of rags and was absolute dog turd.

Where does he want the statue.............

Hahahahahaha
He chose the money not to make history, crazy amount they paid him.
We chose not to pursue and let them pay obscene wages to him.

In fairness, he says history in the sense of being the first Chilean to play for them, rather than that other history they band about.

Not sure I understand this. He wanted to come to us but Wenger said he couldn't leave. so he went to the scum instead?
Unless they weren't in the same transfer window.

Two different windows. And not one of our players.

It wasn't. We missed out on him in August at the end of the window. None of our players were going there in exchange. Arsenal were signing a player from Monaco but he turned them down so Wenger said Sanchez had to stay. We were due to sign him in January but United came in with a huge offer so he went there instead.

Yea on that,,but we weren't due to sign him in January. We were reported to wait till he was free in the summer.

It definitely was a money thing. His weekly wages at United were well over our highest earners and wouldve broken our wage structure. I don't fault him for that but it was pretty widely reported the wages were not the same.

"I didn't want to leave arsenal for money, I wanted to make history and win trophies, so instead of going to a Manchester City side that won everything in sight and made history, I went to the rags to win fuck all and be the highest paid player in PL history".
