Alexis Sanchez - "City would have won the Champions League if I'd have signed."

Under Pep,our structure and our squad, Sanchez could’ve been a great free signing.

He was a (very) good player who could create and score.

He would’ve been told that it was a ‘squad’ structure and it was initially beyond doubt that he wanted to come to us.

City would’ve undertaken extensive due diligence on him and were genuinely keen to sign him.

The rags stupidity, and his greed, changed the scenario but his reaction after his first training session with them is very indicative of the shitshow that existed over there even under PEG.

The rags lost a fortune, he made one and we carried on !!
I think there were signs that he was in decline during his last season at Arsenal and that impression has been confirmed in his performances since then. A bullet dodged IMO.

Choose Greed, When a gentleman's agreement with our Pep is broken you become a fool as well

At Manchester City, You get your rewards for doing the hard yards and winning silverware, But at united you are rewarded before you kick a ball, S0 you don't need to put in the hard yards and win silverware,

Hungry players with Targets that's the Manchester City way

My recollection was we made our interest in Sanchez known the previous summer. Wenger wanted him to sign a new contract, but insisted he'd rather keep him there for the season & allow him to leave on a free, rather than sell him to City.

Sanchez's sad & frustrated demeanour was affecting squad morale, so come January the money men at Arsenal decided to listen to offers, whilst they tried to sign Lamar for £94m.

City offered £20m for Sanchez & reputedly the deal offered to the player during the summer still stood. However, Arsenal wanted £40m, & so started the game of poker & who'd blink first.

Arsenal's bid for Lamar was accepted & terms agreed, but Lamar went cold on the deal, hence Wenger wanting to row back on selling Sanchez, but Arsenal's board just wanted to cut their losses when Sanchez made it clear he would not sign an extension.

It was coming toward the end of the window & all the signs were that Arsenal would have to accept our £20m bid, until ManUre stepped in & offered £38m & Henrikh Mkhitaryan in exchange for Sanchez.

ManUre also offered Sanchez a reputed £400k per week basic wage, plus hefty achievable bonuses which could eventually add up to £600k per week. Arsenal accepted the bid & allowed Moureen to speak to Sanchez.

After the ManUre talks, Sanchez apparently went back to City & told them of the offer made by Old Toilet & asked if we were willing to match it, but City reiterated we already had an agreement with the player & on a point of principle, we weren't going to get into an auction.

Sanchez's team apparently said they wanted time to consider both offers, but City told them they'd make it easy for Sanchez & announced we'd ended our interest in the player.

This left Sanchez with the options of remaining at Arsenal or moving to Old Toilet & the rest is history.

He fucked us over twice. The first being an agreement to join when he was at Udinese, but he jumped at the chance to go to Barça when they came calling at the eleventh hour.

We were interested when he was leaving Barça, but couldn't enter the race to sign him because of our FFP fine & restrictions, & then obviously the last time he went back on our agreement to sign for ManUre.

He'd have been perfect for City, but greed made his stellar career fizzle out to nothing, so fuck the piano banging berk...
Excellent summary blue. Especially remembering the Udinese part.

He'd have been a fantastic player for us but his greed and ego got in the way of that. Now he's a washed up has been with an axe to grind because of his poor decision making on his career.

Sanchez wasn't the first & certainly won't be the last. Recent history is littered with players who've openly expressed regret about City & others who must be wondering "What if".

Admittedly it was City who fucked up the deal for Van Persie. Apparently we had an agreement with him which Marwood tried to renegotiate at the last minute, so RVP fucked us off & accepted the ManUre offer, which utterly enraged Mancini.

Robinho, Kaka, Yaya & now Sanchez have expressed City regrets, but looking how their careers panned out, it makes you wonder what Hazard, Isco, Eto'o, Ronaldo (Juvé to ManUre) & Messi (Barça to PSG) must be thinking about the offers we made, & them using us to get better terms from other clubs which seemingly all turned to shit.

With all the financial woes & sales of these elite clubs, City's stability must be an attractive proposition, in spite of UEFA/G14 & the PL's attempts to neuter us through FFP.

Ahahahah what a little shit. One good season at Arsenal is his legacy. I honestly couldn't even tell you who he's playing for now.
