Alexis Sanchez

But there come's a point when you have to make a stand. I think Wenger and Arsenal have decided Sanchez is that stand. They'll risk losing him for nowght in the hope he can win them the title or at least get them back into the CL next season. Neither Sanchez nor City can do anything. Having an unhappy player isn't great, but Sanchez will continue playing. And once he scores a couple of goals it will be business as usual until the end of the season. That's when the fun and games will start. PSG and other PL clubs.

I would understand Arsenals stance of him potentially leaving on a free in 12 months, if they were 100% sure he would go abroad. What I cannot get my head around, is them waving goodbye to £50m and he ends up at City or another Prem rival anyway.

So, we either go for another striker, miss out on Sanchez again, or stick with what we've got up front for another season and then get Sanchez on free next season. With loads of other clubs coming in for him as well.

Alexis Sanchez 'not for sale', says Arsene Wenger

Alexis Sanchez can lead Arsenal back into the Champions League and will not be sold by the club, says Arsene Wenger.

Sanchez told Chilean media he wants to play in Europe's top competition, which the Gunners failed to qualify for after their fifth-placed Premier League finish, and that a decision over his future rests with Arsenal.

Wenger remains adamant Sanchez will not be leaving the Emirates this summer, though, revealing the club's stance is already clear.

"The decision has been made and we will stick to that," Wenger said of Sanchez, who is still a target for Manchester City according to Sky sources.

"The decision is not to sell."

in all seriousness, isn't that the point?

you sell your best players, we don't.
we are fortunate enough to be able to keep ours and add more.

that's the main difference between the clubs and why a lot of us blues don't currently see you as rivals.

don't get me wrong, i like how wenger tries to play footy,
but you took a gamble in order to extend your stadium and in the long run it has left you a bit behind others.

Except when they kicked us off the park at Wembley in the semi final.

As said before, he could be the difference when it comes to qualifying for the champions league, that's the £50m back for Arsenal straight away. Plus, he might then sign a new contract. Wenger having a gamble (hopefully), something he has never done before, but now the stadium is all paid off, we are seeeing a new approach.

I'm really not arsed about the Sanchez transfer... more bothered about us getting all our full-back targets in first and foremost!

Think arsenal are trying g to get him to put an official transfer request in therefore wavering any potential loyalty bonuses and also makes it look like they had no choice to sell.

I don't think he will. I think we would have had an indication already if he was prepared to do that. That's why he's saying the decision is Arsenal's and not his.
