Don't forget, United, and Chelsea are sniffing around too, City can't be too complacent.
I'm sure the £50m is just an opening bid, Arsenal were always going to rebuff that, and it's just a matter of reaching that tipping point with the clock ticking.
Keep Sanchez.
have a pissed off dressing room who want him gone,
lose him for nothing next summer,
potentially have to have him training alone.
End up having to sell him on the cheap in January because because the relationship has gone toxic, Sanchez refuses to play goes on strike etc.

Its such a ridiculous notion, invented by those that would seek to cause us harm, that the club feel they dont have to.Besides,we are still playing our cards very close.

I certainly hope that's the case. Arsenal are the team negotiating from a position of fundamental weakness, not us. I'd be absolutely dismayed if we blinked first and gave them Sterling. The aim of this transfer is surely to massively strengthen our squad, not just improve it a bit in the short term.

I'm surprised at such a level headed contributor as yourself even taking this remotely serious,we wont be selling one of our brightest prospects.

Let's give them £100 million, the best lawnmower we've got and a big tray of Jamie Olivers leek caviar and Guinness pasties..that'll clinch the deal.

He only wants us.

I personally think we are seeing a seismic shift in the footballing landscape in England, City have bulldozed itself into the elite and whilst many in the media, other club owners, managers and players have not wanted to recognise it this just about puts the final nail in the old elite coffin haha
Arsenal best player doesn't want to play there and with a year l ft on his contract wants a move to us! now we have bought other players from other clubs before eg,Sterling but for me this is the biggest purchase others might not agree and point to the Tevez signing or Sterling but the hurt this will cause Arsenal is huge and a worldwide superstar signing for City will be broadcast to the world. Just my opinion anyway.
Outside of the UK, we are seen as an elite club, it's only the British media and the old top 4 elite that are trying to put us down...and failing abysmally.

£70m and a 5year debenture in the Tunnel Club for Wenger so he can watch Sanchez play in a proper team.

I'm not particularly. Just observing that there is no need to compromise with someone who is bent over a chair, and personally I'd want Arsenal to say 'please' before we agree to relieve them of their star man! You can never rule insanity out completely though when it comes to City

This!

Christ. Talkshite wrong end of the stick, stating we apparently offered £50 million + Raheem!! How will Raheem feel now we've chucked him in the deal, has Pep fallen out with him. Seems to be the Arse propaganda in the press is doing it's work. They're falling over themselves to make it better for Arsenal and worse for us.

Maybe Sterling doesn't listen to the radio and already knows what's happening unlike the rest of us?

This! But the huge tidal wave is changing. They know it, and they hate it!
