Not sure why you two reacted to that comment? I think that's exactly what Sanchez is. A player who started out as a wide-forward, and who is now a goal-scorer who can drop deep and dictate the game. I don't think he's as good out wide any more. Puts some great balls in and can dribble but lost a bit of pace. I watched him really struggle out wide at the Confederations Cup this Summer.

I agree with that as the arc of his career. I think he's now a better player than he ever was on the wing. The prospect of him and Aguero as a front two must be horrible for the rest of the league.
Not sure. Sane and Jesus have to play. Can't play every game I know. Mbappe is the ideal buy. Tbh, if people are saying Mbappe could be a flop and he doesn't have enough time behind himself to be guaranteed success, it's pretty much same with Jesus. He is in no way guaranteed success yet. Though much cheaper risk than Mbappe.

My point is that he is still not the one that is terrifying opposition. Aguero is, Sanchez is, he is not. He is still potential and has lot to prove to back that potential and earn the fear factor.

I agree but our problem now is the same logic applies to our 2 signings from Monaco.

If we can get him we will, we want him and we don't care it's only 16 goals in 40 games of easy league. Easy league is bit of cliche though as no longer than next summer we'll probably have three most expensive players in history coming through that easy league. And all young as dawn. He is risk of course, specially at that price. And to be honest, I don't have idea how good he is, I definitely wasn't sitting in front of my TV watching all Monaco games last year. But people at different clubs much better with their football than me think he is ultra potential, so he is probably good.
Same with Sanchez, if we can get him, we will. And will pay nicely. And as with any other transfer it will be the risk though based on his career lesser than Mbappe.
But I'm not sure Aguero and Jesus is good enough yet. As good as Aguero is, he is imo past his best and as many goals he scores he is missing enough chances and fails to assist so many times to not be irreplaceable. And honestly, despite me having almost blind belief in Pep's judgment, there is no much more proof in Jesus being future consistent superstar than Mbappe. There's not much that separate them so far, I doubt more than 20% of people here ever saw him play before he signed for us and he played very few games here for aso he is still kind of question mark as Mbappe, though much, much cheaper.
All in all, if we are taking terrifying line and who is the least risk it's Aguero and Sanchez. If we're looking bit in the future, than surely not. We have to plan the life without Aguero, sooner or later. Maybe not this year if we don't add both of MBappe and Sanchez but next year surely. And that will always mean taking some risk and spending nice amount of money.
