I'd be shocked if it happened even this month.

I can see him starting the season at Arsenal as they'll want to make it as awkward as possible.

Can't see him putting this out there without a green light from Pep. If his tweet screws this transfer, he would have burnt his bridges with Pep.

It's one of those that seems more impressive the more I think about it. Just taking one of the best players in the country from a club as financially secure and "big" as Arsenal is something we just don't see in these £100m a season TV money days.

It would be the ultimate confirmation of player power too.

Are you aware of any truth to these reports?

I'm on holiday at the moment, so a bit out of the loop. Not sure if Romero's tweet is premature, but Sanchez wants to join City from what I've heard. Arsenal unsurprisingly don't want to sell to us.

I think Wenger will but the board will eventually intervene and do this deal, the longer they wait the more chance we pull out and they lose any targets to someone else. We have all the power in this deal, will a board as stingy as Arsenals walk away from a likely all cash deal for a player who can go for a free next year? I don't see it.

Stand down Agent Mike has spoken :)

Maybe Hart part of a deal?

Who the fuck is AgentMike?

Can't see this deal being straightforward, Arsenal were in this situation with Nasri and RVP and dragged both them deals out intill August. Can see an offer being made and then rejected, followed by weeks of Wenger saying he's not for sale

I don't see why they would, Cech is better and Hart isn't going to sit on the bench.

Arsenal will want the cash, we are the only ones who can provide it. Bayern won't get into a bidding war I would imagine, unless they start cashing in on Sanches, Costa and so on.

I think people may be being a bit too literal when Romero says "next few days". It sounds like the kind of thing that could mean 3 days if you're a City fan on tenterhooks or 3 weeks if you're a catalan journalist enjoying his summer and not refreshing twitter every 5 seconds.
