In all seriousness, I don’t think his signing will disrupt us to the tune of dropping 15 points (and losing those games by 5 goals each) in the second half of the season.I'm really worried that we buy him and end up finishing second.
I don't get why people have this view. Do you have any basis whatsoever to substantiate this?Rock the boat, was what I think he was getting at.
Bringing such a big name when all is going well could unbalance the team and that's the last thing that we need.
I just cannot see Pep letting that happen.
Easily. Pick the team, give them their instructions & tell the to crack the fuck on. Simples!Mad not to want him here but when the likes of jesus, gundogan and bernardo are on the bench reguarly I have no idea how pep will manage the squad.
Exactly. When it was mooted that Sanchez was a distinct possibility, what was the reaction of the 2 players most at threat? Both Sterling & Sane immediately put their hammers down to up their game & the rest is becoming history.
THIS is the reaction I expect from our squad & not players spitting their dummies out & throwing their rattles out of the pram because if they don't perform, there's someone equally as good or even better waiting in the wings to step in.
Exactly!Exactly.
And you know many came to us because they were sold the project of turning City into a club at the same echelon as Barca, Real, and Bayern. They wouldn’t have any different experience (if not even more competitive) at those clubs so if their aspirations really are to be some of the best footballers in the world, playing beautiful football, and winning all there is to be won than this needs to be their mindset full stop.
If our players cannot handle having competition/cover in their squad, then they are selfish bastards in it for themselves & not for MCFC & as such, they should be fucked off for having such a weak mental fortitude. If you are sane, worked hard to get into a position where your name is first on the team sheet, then along comes this new guy and he is getting your place cos the manager says you need a rest. If not sane then aguero or sterling. If your answer to that is they should just do as they are told and be team players it doesn't stop them being fucked off with things and maybe not giving the 110% they are now.
Balancing the characters in the squad is as important as balancing the skills to some managers, and tbh our squad are performing at their best ever... why risk upsetting that balance midway through the season.
Word!Like I said it's perfect timing
Some are looking at it as £30m wasted as we can get him on a free in the summer but I'm seeing it as £30m saved as we were willing to pay £60m in the summer, you'd be hard pushed to find a player of his quality for £30m in today's market with no competition, so let's do the deal and move on.......
If Aguero isn't thrilled, then it's thanks for the Agueroooooooooooooo! moment, & see ya mate.Well tosin has no premier league experiance and kompany is always injured.
I wouldnt say no to sanchez but when it is already clear sergio isnt exactly thrilled with being on the bench every two or three games it will be fascinating to see how pep juggles the squad. We could potentially have a bench of gundogan, bernardo, jesus and sane. Cant think of a side in world football who has ever had that type of deph maybe aside from the current psg side although they will sell a few this window.
Having said i still dont see sanchez coming this window. I reckon arsenal would rather keeep him and try and get top 4.
The media are drip feeding he has temper tantrums in the dressing room. Next they'll say he's a mercenary. Blanche from corrie will then drop some obtuse reference about him in a press conference. To me this will confirm he's signing on a free.
If Aguero isn't thrilled, then it's thanks for the Agueroooooooooooooo! moment, & see ya mate.
Are we going to allow ANY player to force us to stagnate just to keep him happy?
this,he wasn't happy being subbed and suddenly he is being a pain,he never has or will be a pain,be careful what you wish for people as sanchez is the same age, scores less and has been shown to sulk,to many are keen to dump sergio and i want sanchezI think Kun's getting a bit of a bum deal in the media. The blokes been a model pro, not a minutes bother and now we have a strangle hold on the league and we are adding players he's being painted out like some sort of diva who's making unreasonable demands. I don't buy this bullshit.
If Aguero isn't thrilled, then it's thanks for the Agueroooooooooooooo! moment, & see ya mate.

For those who couldn't watch the game vs Palace.
Thanks!
So that man is out of form eh?
Too old, over the top, lost a yard?
What a joke.
He still is the man he was last season. I've never had any doubt. He just didn't perform, for a well known reason.
To counter all those (superstitious driven?) fears and worries in case we would sign him now, I'd like to turn your negative side of the medal like that:
When that lad finally is happy again, coached by a Spaniard who is sharing the same philosophy, surrounded by a team of quality footballers - even on the bench! -
we will see an immediate impact on our pace going forward and on our creativity upfront. We will score more.
Saying "no" to such a top player who only wants to join City tells me there must be an important psychological factor for many on here that I don't understand.
Who is able to let me understand why we shouldn't sign a world class player far below his market value of >100m
who is addressing exactly those parts of our game where we have to handle deep sitting compact defences?
Help me. Save my soul. Please.
