Alexis Sanchez

Sure, but the fact is that his ball to Jesus was quite good. Jesus' finish was not terrible, not amazing either. Keeper did pretty well to save it as he was going the other way.

Yes, he also missed that chance off the defender's mistake that he should have scored, given his abilities. That I agree with.

To connect to Alexis...their inconsistencies at times is why I have always been in support of adding him to the side.

The thing I don't really get, about that, is how do we know in which games Aguero & Jesus are going to miss from 6 yards ?

Would Sanchez start in place of Aguero v Everton because Aguero will fuck up or is it Jesus who will fuck up, so Sanchez starts with Aguero ?

We are talking about 2 of the best forwards in the world here & really, both should be pretty reliable to score. If just one of them has gone to shit, sell him. But what many are in effect saying, is we can't trust either of them, so we have to sign Sanchez, in order to score.

If one had to be left out v Everton, it would absolutely have to be Jesus. Aguero won us the game.

That wasn't the plan re signing Sanchez.

And it could actually be the case that Aguero & Jesus hit form & bang in goals every game & Sanchez misses.

Imo if we sign him, he'll be holding back Sané & Sterling more often than replacing Aguero.

What's percentage would people put on Sanchez's chances of coming to City?
I'd say the odds are slim that its around 70/30 in our favour, evens that it's 30/70, and almost certain that there's a 50/50 chance of him not being at Arsenal come September.

I wouldn't say I'm 110% certain, but still hopeful we'll get him.

It's undeniable that Sergio isnt as quick as he once was, but if he was allowed to stay central, like he has done all his career, rather than being asked to run round like a head-less chicken and constantly pushed out wide, he'd be even more prolific than he already is in my opinion.
Was that posted from a dentists chair under sedation or sommat??

Why would we want a striker who just stays in the middle?

All of the best teams in the world have strikers who move, run channels and link up. Griezmann, Suarez, Benzema, Lewandowski. They all do leg work, they all make runs to open up space in the middle for other players, whether that's dropping deep or going out wide.

Teams who have strikers who stay in the middle are, as a rule, not very good.
