Sanchez is a top player, and it would be great to have him play at City, but to say he is the answer in front of goal is taking a leap. I've seen him miss his fair share of easy chances, just like any other goal scorer.
A few weeks back a lot on here were saying young Gabriel would make us more clinical. Now many are saying he needs to be benched and earn his spot back. What if Sanchez comes in and misses chances for us, do we give up on him and look to buy someone else?
The only ones who can make us more clinical, whether Sanchez (or Mbappe or whoever) comes or not, are the players already here.
It's not just the strikers. This problem runs through the entire team. The players are obviously more than aware of it and it seems to have gotten to the point where they are trying too hard to make too sure of things and coming up with nothing.
Starting to think the coaches and players and we as fans need to stop making such a big deal about it, relax a bit more and let things come naturally. We have the players there to do it. We know it. We've seen them do it. They are human. We need to support them.
Seen all the big strikers from all the big teams miss good chances so far this season and by and large they have been forgiven (even when their team has lost)... except ours.
As I said, would love Sanchez to be our player, but to help us create, not as the answer to our goal scoring issues. That would be unfair on him (as he can't do it on his own) and unfair on the players we already have (who we know can do the business).
